I have zero interest in football, and the type of people involved in the game - Gary Lineker can take almost full credit for that - and couldn’t tell you the last time I saw even a bit of a match. BUT I was listening to the radio at the beginning of the tournament and heard caller after caller saying how rubbish England are and how it would be better if they were knocked out immediately. And I thought woah, hang on that’s a bit off. So I decided right, I’m going to bloody well watch and support them now (cos I’m contrary ). I’ve enjoyed every single minute of it though I do think this team and Gareth Southgate in particular are very different to what’s gone before in recent years. I agree about the positivity being great for a change. I’m not sure I can watch tonight though because it’s the first time I’ve ever really wanted them to succeed, I feel like I might jinx it (might channel hop to check the score though!)

I wish I'd have filmed the scenes in my home town during/after the games, just euphoria, joy and loveliness. No one sees that do they?
