To Not Want England To Win The World Cup.

I am not English I am Welsh and rarely support English teams, but I have got caught up in the excitement of the teams achievements and until yesterday thought it would be fabulous if they did actually win the World Cup.

Then I saw the damage caused across the country but so called fans so called celebrating the quarter final win and thought God forbid they win what the hell will happen across country when the yobs celebrate that!

I also think that 'young lady' photographed jumping on an ambulance along with her companions and the ones photographed on bus shelters should be named shamed and charged with criminal damage and the same goes for anyone else who does not know how to celebrated in decent law abiding way.

This is a very disappointing reaction to what should be a happy and proud celebration

We were holidaying in wales then and the atmosphere was fantastic. We watched the match in a local village pub and were so pleased to see wales do so well.

I’m Welsh, if the England team win the World Cup, good for them.
I also hate football so I won’t be reading anything about it.
DH is Welsh too and is hoping England win.

One thing I do dislike is the way the English flag seems to have been taken over by some thugs and racists.
I think it’s a real shame when flying your country’s flag is seen as offensive.

Across the country on a regular night out yobs do this kind of thing anyway. That picture is old anyway. They’re all idiots. But winning the cup wouldn’t make it worse. I’ve never felt like people are more united at the moment. Yabvvvu

I was in a central London pub for the Wales V Portugal Euro game, I don’t think there was a single Welsh person there but the whole pub was supporting them (loudly!)

Actually with regards to did I ever want England to win, well I was indifferent to it all in the beginning, but as it has gone on I have got really interested and supportive.

I am not an expert in football, but even I can see that Gareth Southgate and team seem to have done a marvellous job with this young team, that the team behave very well on and off the pitch even when goaded and lets be honest they were goaded by Columbia.

I like the feel good factor its creating but I do not like the fact that the yobs have to behave the way they do, perhaps they are rent a mobs causing trouble for whatever reasons I think they should be dealt with and swiftly.

It would be lovely next Sunday to see them win but I fear what the rent a mobs will do if that happens

Your BU to blame a whole country for actions of a few. Whether England win or not I am proud of the team and of being English. It was atrocious what happened but the vast majority are not to blame but no surprise that certain people use it to justify their xenophobia. Absolutely nothing wrong or racist about flying the flag either.

We have a flag outside as ds put it there. It’s fine and I feel fine flying it.
