To Not Want England To Win The World Cup.

I am not English I am Welsh and rarely support English teams, but I have got caught up in the excitement of the teams achievements and until yesterday thought it would be fabulous if they did actually win the World Cup.

Then I saw the damage caused across the country but so called fans so called celebrating the quarter final win and thought God forbid they win what the hell will happen across country when the yobs celebrate that!

I also think that 'young lady' photographed jumping on an ambulance along with her companions and the ones photographed on bus shelters should be named shamed and charged with criminal damage and the same goes for anyone else who does not know how to celebrated in decent law abiding way.

This is a very disappointing reaction to what should be a happy and proud celebration

BitchQueen90 Don't know, she talks about leaving him, but old school so doesn’t drive, part time job... Now her children are adults she talks more about it.

No not the FAs job. I was making the point that some fanatics would do anything their heroes told them though.

@BitchQueen90

We'll they're certainly trying pretty hard to stamp out racism, and you could make the same argument for a racist as an abuser. Whether it stops them or not is a different matter, but a lot could be done to make it clear to these people that they're not welcome and their support is not wanted.

Whether it stops them or not is a different matter, but a lot could be done to make it clear to these people that they're not welcome and their support is not wanted

They've made it clear their support isnt wanted, just as they've made it abundently clear that they don't want the support of hooligans and drunk idiots that tear through the country acting like wankers, yet tjreads like this one and the 20 billion other "all england fans" are voilent threads prove it doesnt change anything.

Thing about racism is its done in public, football fans see it call it out. DV isnt, as a result its very hard for football bans to call out

thor86 · 13/07/2018 08:45

I can't think of any football team that has done a high profile domestic violence campaign

Victoria889 · 13/07/2018 09:54

The girl who smashed the ambulance in London has been named and she's Scottish not English.

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 13/07/2018 15:09

From 2014 thor campagn supported by the premier league
www.cosmopolitan.com/uk/reports/a27263/womens-aid-football-against-domestic-violence/

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 13/07/2018 15:15

Scottish club but ictfc.com/news/club-news/748-domestic-abuse-campaign

thor86 · 13/07/2018 17:11

Campaigns 4 and 6 years ago don't strike me as a barrage. I think football clubs should be doing more to lead these campaigns rather than leaving it to Women's Aid

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 13/07/2018 17:45

Its on.going joint campaign

You do realise that kick rasism out wasnt even joint campaign until well in to the 90's it was an entirely indepentant campagn as is the kick homophobia out campaign that gareth thomas (a rugby player) started.

I didnt say it was a barrage i said football were doinf sonething and i proved it. You cant renember the campagn..thats you not football fans their on going campagns

thor86 · 13/07/2018 18:25

You may not have said barrage. The previous poster did. I also said high profile campaigns. So high profile the most recent stories you could find were 4 years old? Seems like they could be doing much much more

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 13/07/2018 19:50

So having a reception with david cameron and teresa may is not high profile enough!!

What do you call high profile??????

What part of ON GOING do you not understand thor
The campagn is not 4 years ago it STARTED 4 YEARS AGO IT IS STILL GOING ON.

you were wrong you just want to argue

thor86 · 13/07/2018 19:53

I understand ongoing. What part of high profile do you not understand? If the most recent reports you could find were 4 and 6 years old, it's not particularly high profile.

thor86 · 13/07/2018 19:55

High profile enough for you thor

...4 year old article

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 13/07/2018 19:56

What???????

High profile means attention not oeriod of time what are you talking about 4 years ago for??????

Its a very high profile long term campagn
I think getting the attention of the prime minster and then hone sececty means its high profile www.telegraph.co.uk/women/womens-life/10887223/World-Cup-domestic-violence-clampdown-Theresa-May-lends-support-to-football-campaign.html

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 13/07/2018 19:57

Why do you keep going on about 4 years?????

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 13/07/2018 20:00

You do realise that it will be advertised in match day programes things that arent on line etc just cos the mainatream media aeent takong notice.

Its targeted as football fans.

The people it needs to be targeted at

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 13/07/2018 20:01

Sorry tjor your just not going to be happy cos you dont want to be!

thor86 · 13/07/2018 20:04

High profile means it's still getting coverage now. It may have been high profile 4 years ago, it's not now. I'm glad they're doing something, however I don't think they're doing nearly enough
