To Not Want England To Win The World Cup.

I am not English I am Welsh and rarely support English teams, but I have got caught up in the excitement of the teams achievements and until yesterday thought it would be fabulous if they did actually win the World Cup.

Then I saw the damage caused across the country but so called fans so called celebrating the quarter final win and thought God forbid they win what the hell will happen across country when the yobs celebrate that!

I also think that 'young lady' photographed jumping on an ambulance along with her companions and the ones photographed on bus shelters should be named shamed and charged with criminal damage and the same goes for anyone else who does not know how to celebrated in decent law abiding way.

This is a very disappointing reaction to what should be a happy and proud celebration

Not horse-racing obviously, but motorsport in general attracts a friendly crowd. Never seen a fight break out at Silverstone or anyone smashing a city centre up because Valentino Rossi didn't win.

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 11/07/2018 15:11

But your taring all football fans with the same brush

Didnt see F1 fans wearing say farriari shirtss just cos a six uear old with a bruan tumor liked thaf team,

Often foptball brings people together in.the best way

Itscominghomeyesitis · 11/07/2018 15:33

Christmas causes huge increase in use of emergency services, antisocial behaviour and domestic violence.

It's football people like to complain about, which has classist undertones.

jasjas1973 · 11/07/2018 21:28

You ve got your wish! LOL!

Unfinishedkitchen · 11/07/2018 21:33

Are you happy now you miserable person?

Beehiveyourself · 11/07/2018 21:37

Your wish has come true! 😆

Have a great night!

Madmarchpear · 11/07/2018 21:43

I'm a reasonable naice type and will be buying an England flag for the 3rd place game match on Saturday. I'm starting to see the light about all the anti-St.George flag snobbery and virtue signalling.

foxssoxareinthebox · 11/07/2018 21:49

Hope you enjoy revelling in everyone else’s disappointment tonight OP Hmm

Beehiveyourself · 11/07/2018 21:54

Tbf it’s the riots she/he’s worried about.

Monty27 · 12/07/2018 05:13

"dreary" here's a hug and to all other disappointed posters () have some of these too Flowers

derxa · 12/07/2018 08:58

I'm starting to see the light about all the anti-St.George flag snobbery and virtue signalling. That's very positive.

BitchQueen90 · 12/07/2018 09:03

So where were all the riots last night that people were worried about then? Hmm

thor86 · 12/07/2018 09:06

That was in the event of a win. It's domestic violence for a loss unfortunately

raisedbyguineapigs · 12/07/2018 11:28

Men don't suddenly turn into violent wife beaters when they lose the football. Unfortunately, they are probably getting drunk every Saturday night and beating up their partners, or having a bad day at work and beating up their partners, or have lost their keys and beaten up their partners. Losing the football is just another excuse to add to the list. The difference is that they may not all have lost their keys on Wednesday night, but they all would have lost the football on Wednesday night.

thor86 · 12/07/2018 16:09

No they don't, but there is a huge rise in domestic abuse when England lose. The FA and footballers should be telling these people that no one who behaves like this is welcome as a fan

itsclaire · 12/07/2018 16:13

The difference is that they may not all have lost their keys on Wednesday night, but they all would have lost the football on Wednesday night.

Well put.

What a vile, unacceptable post. Speaks volumes.

petrolpump28 · 12/07/2018 16:56

I am so sick of the statistic about DV being trotted out.
Im not interested in football for for gods sake, cant we just sit with our friends and families and watch telly without this barage of stuff about abuse.

thor86 · 12/07/2018 17:11

@petrolpump28

What barage? I don't think there is nearly enough done in football to challenge domestic abuse from fans

petrolpump28 · 12/07/2018 18:16

sorry, dont want to offend anyone.

BitchQueen90 · 12/07/2018 18:35

@thor86 what do you think could be done in football to challenge domestic abuse? I'm not being goady, I'm genuinely wondering because I don't think anything that they could do would stop some fans committing DV. That abusive bloke isn't going to suddenly think "hang on, FIFA says it's bad to hit my wife so I'd better not do it any more."

Abusers have deep rooted problems.

itsclaire · 12/07/2018 18:54

BitchQueen90 My friend’s h who is football mad, would take notice if one of his footballing “heroes” told him to do anything. He calls them “gods”. He doesn’t beat my friend but football has caused constant arguments in their marriage for 25 years and as I posted on the other thread, he has been cut off by his adult son as he tried to bully him into watching and playing football and then started on the grandson.

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 12/07/2018 19:24

The thing is loke all "football related" volence its not actally the football thats to blame. Literally thousends and thousends watch football every week without tearing through the lake district villiages, jumping on Ikea beds, jumping on rapid response cars or comminting Domestic volence. And tbh itsclaire your friends husband sounds like general idiot and a bully, not a football fan most people dont bully tjeir childrem in to anything.

There is a small majority that do do all those things, and itsclaire this is were your theory falls down because those people dont listen to those hereos, their drunk and agressive and they dont give a shit wether its the police, the bar managers, the store managers their wives or Gareth Southgate and Harry kane telling them to stop, they think they have the right and fuck the whole country their going to do it.

In terms of actual holinganism and Domestic Volence, its very angry men fueled by drink, in terms of the yobby tearing through bars jumping on emergancy cars, ikea, its people who dont normally drink that much and tje alchol makes them full of bravodo and they think theg can do what the bloody hell theg like.

These voilent people can be seen.in cities every friday and saturday night. They behave like that all tje time not jusf when the footballs on. Its just when it coincides with the football people blame foptball

BitchQueen90 · 12/07/2018 20:17

@itsclaire why is your friend still married to him then if he's that much of a twunt? It's not the job of the FA to fix everyone's marriage.
