To ring RSPCA?

Downstairs neighbour but along one has had a small dog barking away in the garden since around 5pm.

I've never known them have a dog before, never seen it before and I've lived here a while, like I said it's been there since 5pm, no shade, can't see any food or water out there either and it's been crying/barking since 5pm. Its really sad to listen to. I would go and talk to the neighbours but they're known for being horrible, aggressive and violent men and I think are the local drug dealers ( lovely, I know).

AIBU to ring the RSPCA as it's been stuck out there for 5 hours or will they not be interested as DP suggests it could be a friend visiting and they don't want the dog in the house. Am I just being a worried animal lover or does this not seem to you either?

OP that woman must of had loads of messages today, I read that advert on GUMTREE today, they left it outside the ASDA for 10 minutes?

I did text her on the number provided and sent her the photo and thread link.

I am so so glad it's back to it's owner.

Well done OP

rinabean · 07/07/2018 17:01

I'm so glad you got him back to his owner. I hope your neighbours don't try anything. Shame on whoever stole him. I guess it could potentially not be the neighbours, but they weren't treating him like a beloved new family member were they!

PigEyedHorseFrightener · 07/07/2018 17:14

Well done op!!

The rspca are absolutely fucking useless unless, as pp have pointed out, it involves tv or celebrity.

Jozxyqk · 07/07/2018 17:18

Well done - hope the NDN gets what they deserve.

Bubbles121 · 07/07/2018 17:22

Aprilshouldhavebeenmyname · 07/07/2018 17:32

A goal to you op!!

Angie169 · 07/07/2018 17:39

OP what a hero !
Please take care around your neighbours , you do not want and repercussions.

Can we all take a lesson from this - - PLEASE get you pets chipped . dogs, cats, birds, ferrets, rabbits ,horses, ponys even koi carp can be chipped . It only cost about £15 and some places do it for free .

If you are not willing to pay that for the sake of having your pet returned , you do not deserve to have a pet in the 1st place .

CharBar39 · 07/07/2018 17:58

Well done OP!!!!!! Great news!!! That poor dog and his owner :(

RoseWhiteTips · 07/07/2018 19:10

Well done, OP. You’re great!

🙂

crazycatgal · 07/07/2018 19:25

@SendYouUpInFlames The one stolen from Bury Asda is a different dog. The one that OP took to the vets was microchipped and had a different name.

Sorry it took a while to come back to this. I am so so so pleased this had a happy ending. OP, you are a hero. I hope you told the owner never to tie Milo up anywhere again! Bloody hell.

And I hope they donate the £50 to an animal shelter.

Ahhhh! I’m so happy now. Well done you!
