to be annoyed at eating sausages for lunch

i buy sausages and divide them into 4, since our dc are older and in and out and not sure if they will be home.
so i defrost for whoever is home for an Evening Meal

DH announces, he will have a sausage sandwich for lunch, or a couple of sausages for breakfast, like a bloody king!
AIBU to attempt to restrict this reckless behaviour?

Just say nope, they're for dinner. You eat them and you then plan and make dinner.

Kerberos · 17/06/2018 11:35

Erm. Why? Wtf

Skyejuly · 17/06/2018 11:35

I think YABU.

Slartybartfast · 17/06/2018 11:36

steff13 · 17/06/2018 11:36

Sausage is meant for breakfast.

CloudCaptain · 17/06/2018 11:36

Divide sausages into 4? What?

Go crazy, you have one too. Sausage royalty!

Soubriquet · 17/06/2018 11:37

Ah come on it's Father's Day.

Let him have a sausage sandwhich today.

Bollock him the rest of the time though Grin

Butterymuffin · 17/06/2018 11:37

'OK, so you're having something else for dinner when the rest of us have sausages, right?'

Idontevencareanymore · 17/06/2018 11:37

Let him have the sausages. He can have something else for tea.

Curious though why a sausage sandwich is considered a luxury? That's a staple food here.

KurriKurri · 17/06/2018 11:38

Make him eat cake. Or zap him with a cattle prod (while he's holding the sausages so he learns to associate sausage nicking with pain)

TheQueef · 17/06/2018 11:38

Give him a sausage for breakfast.
It is father's day.

mimibunz · 17/06/2018 11:38

Is this a joke?

AttilaTheMusical · 17/06/2018 11:38

Buy more sausages. It's the only way.

Sirzy · 17/06/2018 11:38

Unless you have got it out specifically for tea tonight and he knows that then yabu

MysweetAudrina · 17/06/2018 11:39

Just buy a few extra as spare so he can have them. Do you control when and how he eats? I do the shopping if dh fancies something that is set aside for a specific meal, then we make do with something else or he does or he replaces it or orders a takeaway to compensate.

steff13 · 17/06/2018 11:39

Sausage royalty!

😁 Coincidentally, I was thinking of making sausage sandwiches for lunch. I will eat them and then I will be their queen.

Slartybartfast · 17/06/2018 11:39

sorry, devide the pack into four! Grin

Chill out and join in in having a nice sausage sandwich. Save getting worked up for something more important.

FirstOfMyName · 17/06/2018 11:40

I assume this is a wind up? Sausages are not an evening meal unless toad in the hole with mash, cabbage & onion gravy. HTH

How are are your kids? Could they not let you know in advance if they want dinner? Or sort their own dinner? Or your DH could sort their replacement meal if determined to have a sausage feast (which I am jealous of btw)

TheQueef · 17/06/2018 11:41

I dunno.
Sausage egg and chips is passable imo.
