i buy sausages and divide them into 4, since our dc are older and in and out and not sure if they will be home.
so i defrost for whoever is home for an Evening Meal

DH announces, he will have a sausage sandwich for lunch, or a couple of sausages for breakfast, like a bloody king!
AIBU to attempt to restrict this reckless behaviour?

Could be expensive for OP, not everyone can afford meat all the time!

MyKingdomForBrie · 19/06/2018 13:59

Sausages really don’t have to be expensive and it’s hardly bloody ‘hoovering’ to have a sausage sandwich!

I can’t stand the ‘oh he’s so greedy’ brigade when it’s just a normal bloody food item.

Also OP has made it clear money is not an issue.

Slightlyjaded · 19/06/2018 14:05

So he was going to get 2 sausages for his dinner (assuming you are dividing a pack of 8). That’s hardly a Kings ration....and my DH would assume that it was the starter.

Orlandointhewilderness · 19/06/2018 14:08

Bloody henry the eighth!

rubyandbumpsmum · 19/06/2018 19:45

Slightly jaded my husband would be the same!!! Lol 😂 if he got two sausages he would be a miserable hungry sod all evening!!

Whoopwhoopwooo · 19/06/2018 22:43

WTAF !!!!!!!

CoughLaughFart · 20/06/2018 00:40

For all the people whinging about budget - the OP didn’t mention it.

melonscoffer · 20/06/2018 00:54

You're having sausages for dinner on a Sunday?

CosyLulu · 20/06/2018 05:37

My dh has four large sausages with his mash, carrots and gravy. I only have 2. Dd has 3.

I only have 2 because I’m fat. I could eat 4 easily.

I don’t see why eating them on a Sunday is a crime. Thou shalt not eat sausage on the Sabbath day.

Yes she did.

No she hasn't.

I'd kill for a sausage right now .I live in a predominantly Muslim country and no pork sausages to be found in my area (without paying a king's ransom).

OP, I understand you! Food planning and budgeting does leave some food "out of bounds" for just snacking on.

Tallyhooo · 20/06/2018 06:59

There are some seriously expensive sausages out there....are we talking '40 in a bag for a quid noses and ears' or 'farmers market made out of a sacred named swine'' 2 for 20 quid???

Lethaldrizzle · 20/06/2018 07:43

I thought sausages were pretty much the cheapest meat you could buy?

Miladamermalada · 20/06/2018 09:16

Along with mince.
Even so eating sausages for 3 meals is rank and heart disease attracting.

tattychicken · 20/06/2018 09:42

Can you really cook them from frozen? Doesn't the outside cook and the middle is still frozen? My mind is boggling...

CoughLaughFart · 20/06/2018 11:12

lYes she did.

In passing, about eight pages in.

It’s an even better idea to put pertinent information in the first post.
