How is anyone surprised by this?! He openly shagged anything and everything during his marriage. The way he spoke about his wife and marriage was horrible, in such a back handed compliment type of way.

I don't understand people though who go after the money or acknowledgement though. They must surely know it's never going to end well. A celebrity is never going to go 'Yeh that's my kid' and then instantly hand over their fortune and start rocking up at every birthday party, are they?!

I would hope that people on Mumsnet, I.e. A parenting website, would be a bit more critical of this prick's behavior. The support TJ is getting here shows why so many men get away with this kind of behavior. If everyone stood up and said that TJ's behavior was unacceptable, then maybe more men would be forced to take responsibility for their actions.

I think Liam Gallagher's point was that because his relationship with is daughter's mother was so toxic he felt it best not to be involved in her life, though he did accept his financial responsibilities towards her. Sometimes it might be better to step aside and allow someone else to take that role on rather than be a shit parent yourself. We don't know what his daughters life was like, if she had a surrogate or step father who stepped up, if she missed not having Liam around.

In what way? His son's a heroin addict. He needs specialist help, yes, but is he ready to accept that? I expect he will be able to claim on the will when TJ dies, but coming into money isn't always a good thing for an addict.

Nothing ever said about the woman we know the sort, she knew he was married, at worst she hoped for a little Sunday Tabloid kiss n tell story - instead she got an 18 year pay check. I made the point up the thread that a woman holds all the cards - if she chooses to take no responsibility she can choose to have the child adopted, thus legally cutting her financial, legal, moral obligation to that child. A man has no such equality, he cannot say, as a woman can "take it away" he's lumbered, whether he likes it or not.

And as I said TJ paid his financial dues whilst the person was a child. He has absolutely no further obligation to the person whatsoever now that person is an adult.

No woman should be called names, just for avoidance of doubt - but two consenting adults are equally culpable for pregnancies arising from unprotected sex.

That said, the woman involved loses credibility for going to the media. There are courts for this sort of thing. Tacky. All of them.

TJ said it was not an open marriage and Linda had punched him in the face on one occasion for cheating.
A lot of his cheating was on tour so I guess it was easier for her to forgive him once he was home with her.
But I've no doubt her mh issues were caused by that marriage and lifestyle.
