So we were driving home from our bank holiday Monday trip out today and drove past the tail end of the marathon. I was suddenly overcome with emotion and started crying all all the runners 😂 (p.s I am pregnant so I have an excuse - unlike Vatican wailer 😂😂😂😂)

We were in church yesterday and an older couple stood up for communion. She was obviously struggling with her mobility and watching the chap hold her hand and keep her steady had me in tears. We rarely go to church as we're not religious and never take communion but it was such an unexpectedly beautiful moment.

DwangelaForever · 07/05/2018 20:10

Omg @Idontbelieveinthemoon I would have been in tears too 😭

A few days after the birth of my youngest I was in a queue of traffic (dual carriageway) coming up to a very busy and complex junction. Suddenly ambulance behind us and every car just got out of the way in perfect synchronicity. I was balling my eyes out! I do blame the hormones!

AlmostAJillSandwich · 07/05/2018 20:13

I do it every time an ambulance is passing and everyone gets out of the way, i have no idea why.

NotUmbongoUnchained · 07/05/2018 20:14

Since I had my second i cry at pretty much everything.

HettySunshine · 07/05/2018 20:15

I cried at a loo roll advert once when I was pregnant 😳

treeofhearts · 07/05/2018 20:15

The 3rd Digimon film. We got to the bit where he realised little Patamon was going to die and I howled my eyes out. DC were just Hmm Heartless little beasts.

BeeFarseer · 07/05/2018 20:16

I cried at I Threw It On The Ground by The Lonely Island.

Mostly because I felt sorry for all the people who were confused at why Andy Sandberg was throwing stuff on the ground.

It's a COMEDY VIDEO, FFS.

Zaphodsotherhead · 07/05/2018 20:17

The Dogs' Trust advert. Or maybe that's designed to be a tear jerker and I'm not odd at all?

But every time it comes on I have to leave the room - that or clutch my little dog and wail.

HildaZelda · 07/05/2018 20:18

Maybe not that weird but I don't think I have EVER got though an episode of 'Long Lost Family' without bawling.
I had a shitty upbringing myself though and suspect I have a half sibling out there somewhere, so I'm sure that's something to do with it.

LeighaJ · 07/05/2018 20:19

At nothing at all (thanks baby blues). Hmm

BeeFarseer

"I cried at I Threw It On The Ground by The Lonely Island."

I wish I could throw my baby blues on the ground. Grin

SAMlady · 07/05/2018 20:21

During gogglebox when they showed the queen and David Attenborough and I realised they'd both die one day

BrightonCalling · 07/05/2018 20:21

This is really hipster of me, but...listening to the song La Boheme and turning to people with tears streaming down face and saying "I just cant believe that we all have to die some day".

I was drunk.

Mailfuckoff · 07/05/2018 20:22

The mummy elephant in dumbo when she sings baby mine to dumbo from prison. It was a long hard road the be a mummy and I sing it to my boys. Even hearing the song makes me well up. My dc take the mick!

cunningartificer · 07/05/2018 20:22

A pot of home made strawberry jam. It was after my dad died and I realised I’d never pick strawberries with him again.

jarhead123 · 07/05/2018 20:23

I can't sing the lines from Annie - "Santa Claus we never see, Santa Claus whats that? who's he?" without shedding a tear!

AmethystRaven · 07/05/2018 20:26

Once (pregnant) watching a film where a man was eating his dinner, and his glass of water on the table set me off. Yes, a glass of water. My family howled with laughter while I dabbed my eyes going "His water, his water" Grin

Violetroselily · 07/05/2018 20:26

It doesn’t take much to make me cry.

Any news stories of people helping each other in accidents, natural disasters etc.

Tv montages of sportsmen/women winning events

Cried watching the London marathon on TV this year, I think it’s just the epitome of strength in human spirit

Badcat666 · 07/05/2018 20:27

Zap Oh hell yes! I caught the one with the balloon dogs on Channel 4 catch up.. 3 seconds in I was welling up.. when the balloon dog was stuck in the tree... crying.. when the lady rescued the balloon dog and then got the dog.. full on snotty sobbing hysteria.

And I haven't got pregnancy to use as an excuse. Mr BC just looked at me, got up and got me a roll of loo paper so I could blow my nose.

HeartshapedFox · 07/05/2018 20:27

Probably outing myself, but when I was pregnant I cried when DH told me Rubble's origin story from Paw Patrol. Note that I didn't even watch it, he did and was telling me about it. At one point he started laughing and asked incredulously if I was crying.... And I hate Paw Patrol!

NoNoCharlieRascal · 07/05/2018 20:29

An episode of The Simpsons when they did a flash back to Homers childhood dog. I was balling. And very pregnant. Dh still takes the mick Blush

PositiveVibez · 07/05/2018 20:35

There was an old couple behind me at the checkout. Woman was very old in a wheelchair. Fella was also old, but not as old as the lady (he was in his 70s, her I would say late 80s, early 90s)

I asked them if the wanted to go in front of me as they only had a few bits and I was doing my big shop.

The fella paid for all the items and the woman had one barm from the bakery.

He told her to give him the 30 pence for her barm.

I have never heard anything so tightfisted. Yes, I don't know their circumstances, but it made me feel sad.

Then she gave me some blank Easter cards from her bag. She said I should have them because she never sees anyone to give them to.

When I got home and relayed the story to my husband, I started crying. I felt so sad for that lady.

I know I don't know all the circs and I only seen a snippet of her daily life so I could have it completely wrong.

TriHard27 · 07/05/2018 20:38

I sometimes randomly cry running marathons which is ridiculous because I’ve done enough now not to be bothered by them. I think it’s mainly because I’m knackered and strangers are being kind to me. Grin

muffyduffster · 07/05/2018 20:40

I cried when the West Indies women's cricket team won the World Cup in 2016. I've never even been to the Caribbean. I was five weeks pregnant and my DH was Hmm

Woofygoldberg · 07/05/2018 20:45

When the first swallows returned a few weeks ago and I realised this is the first spring my late sister would never see them.

At a pile of odd socks on the spare bed, was coming down with shingles though at the time! I was so ridiculous that I wiped a tear with one of DP's Wilson sports socks Confused
