So we were driving home from our bank holiday Monday trip out today and drove past the tail end of the marathon. I was suddenly overcome with emotion and started crying all all the runners 😂 (p.s I am pregnant so I have an excuse - unlike Vatican wailer 😂😂😂😂)

Pregnant with DS1 at Christmas time, was having a cuppa with my mum one afternoon in the house that she grew up in, but had been bought and sold a few times before I came to rent it. Sitting on the living room sofa and a shadow from an angel shaped Christmas light was on the wall between us.
I sobbed!
I'd blame the hormones but my DM started crying too, so must just have been soppy genes Grin

HappyLollipop · 07/05/2018 21:33

I'm not a emotional person and I rarely cry but the weirdest thing I cried over was when they got my order wrong in macdonalds a couple days after giving birth, my DP did go back there and got them to make my order right but I still sobbed the whole way through eating that quarter pounder even now my DP asks will I cry if it onions in it.

Makegoodchoices · 07/05/2018 21:35

I cried at the terrible remake of Arthur, with Russell Brand. Because it was clearly such excellent acting.

(And I’d had an ovary removed and my hormones were crazy)

Mailfuckoff I was watching Dumbo on TV a couple of years ago and when Baby Mine came on I burst into tears and didn't stop crying for several minutes!

I also cried when watching a video that was meant to test whether you could recognise a child drowning. It's a crowded pool and hard to see, then a lifeguard jumps in and rescues the child. I started crying since it was just so lovely that there is good in the world, humans do look after each other etc etc Grin DH still brings it up. I also get tearful at cars moving for ambulances, I think for the same reason: people know there's someone who needs that ambulance and so do what they can to ensure that help arrives as quickly as possible, even though they're strangers. My parents lived in Thailand for a bit and said people don't move for ambulances there so people die waiting Sad

Oh and I wasn't pregnant for any of those Blush

SleepingStandingUp · 07/05/2018 21:37

Today I cried because my nearly 3 yo copied the big boys and stood by the fence (they were playing tick and he was just the random baby in the pub playground).
Also cried because he high 5's a kid at nursery

Liskee · 07/05/2018 21:40

There's an episode of Fireman SAM gets me every time. Station Officer Steele and Betsy save the day and I'm practically bawling now typing about it...

BalloonSlayer · 07/05/2018 21:42

Hope this doesn't make anyone cry but "I was balling" means "I was shagging." The phrase several of you are looking for is: "I was bawling."

JustHereForThePooStories · 07/05/2018 21:48

A few weeks ago, I woke up before DH and realised that we were holding hands in our sleep.

I had a little cry before untangling our fingers and heading to the shower.

Itsnotmesothere · 07/05/2018 21:51

I've shed a tear at Peppa Pig singing the Big Balloon song. Big Balloon. Big Balloon. Bigger than the sun and moon I find it very touching Confused

n0ne · 07/05/2018 21:53

The bit in Napoleon Dynamite when Pedro is giving his speech for the election and ND gets up and does the dance. I dunno, I just found it really poignant, but my P at the time thought I was mental. He was a right twat, though.

crispysausagerolls · 07/05/2018 21:55

*The mummy elephant in dumbo when she sings baby mine to dumbo from prison

THIS! It was on the other day and I am pregnant and the song "baby of mine" and all the mummies and the babies cuddling made me bawl and my whole family stared at me like WTAF 😭😭😭😭

LarryFreakinStylinson · 07/05/2018 21:56

I well up at videos of flash mobs. 🤷🏼‍♀️

And at DD’s dance shows. It’s some weird dancing in synchronicity thing.

BornInALighthouse · 07/05/2018 21:57

Marathons too. My mum ran a few when I was wee and I vaguely remember how much she trained. All those folk who have worked so hard...gets me every time Grin

LittleLionMansMummy · 07/05/2018 21:59

Gordon Brown's resignation speech. I never even liked him. I was pregnant with ds at the time.

tillytoodles1 · 07/05/2018 22:01

I always cry watching The Snowman.

anothernamechanged · 07/05/2018 22:04

When I was pregnant I cried on a plane because the woman behind me had her reading light on. I didn't know I was pregnant yet so it seemed even more ridiculous.

NordicNobody · 07/05/2018 22:07

When pregnant with my first I cried at:

All 3 Kung fu panda movies
An advert for centre parks
The trailer for the new BFG movie

So far this pregnancy I've only cried once and it was during "The land before time". From the start I was tearful because I knew little foots mum was going to die, and by the time she did I was literally hysterical level sobbing and had to turn the movie off.

thefairyfellersmasterstroke · 07/05/2018 22:17

At Concorde's final flight and landing in Edinburgh. Then again when she was towed to the museum, minus her wings, clipped forever. And at the notion that we still fly in planes basically designed in the 50s while the future is consigned to history. Sad

cafenoirbiscuit · 07/05/2018 22:18

Another vote for the Snowman. I genuinely hope that he hasn’t melted the next morning EVERYTIME I watch it.

Also at The Railway Children when the Dad gets off the train in the steam 😢😢😢😢😢

maclippy · 07/05/2018 22:19

Forgot to say, the worst part was when we had to go downstairs and ask my dad for hankies Blush

SevenOf1981 · 07/05/2018 22:25

Blur's video for Coffee & TV. When the milk carton gets squashed. Tears just welled up! Not pregnant, just normal... (I think)

Summerisdone · 07/05/2018 22:37

When I was pregnant I was watching Hannah Montana movie with my little sister and couldn't control the outpouring of tears I had as Hannah Montana removed her wig to reveal her true identity to the crowd. My then 4 year old sister looked on very amused at her 21 year old sister in floods BlushGrin

Nosleepmakesmetired · 07/05/2018 22:45

Marley and me. Gets me every single time.
The ending of guardians of the galaxy 2.
Long lost family.
This time next year.

Oh and toy story 3

MrsChopper · 07/05/2018 22:51

One day I was doing the dishes and looking out of the kitchen window. Our neighbours had just moved in and I could see their dog running around their garden. I ended up inconsolable and ugly-face-sobbing for agesss because I didn't like the look of their dog. I was quite pregnant at the time.

Bumply · 07/05/2018 22:52

Currently watching Highlander which has the soundtrack by Queen.
"Who wants to live forever" sung by Freddie Mercury when you know what's going to happen to him just makes me bawl.
