So we were driving home from our bank holiday Monday trip out today and drove past the tail end of the marathon. I was suddenly overcome with emotion and started crying all all the runners 😂 (p.s I am pregnant so I have an excuse - unlike Vatican wailer 😂😂😂😂)

I don't really do crying, but even I find it hard to stay entirely dry-eyed at the Dumbo 'Baby Mine' scene. Traumatic mother-child things in films etc are really the only ones that get me even close to crying though.

The Lloyds (or TSB?) advert with the black horse shown through different periods of time, set to a song by Birdy. I was WEEPING.

uservvy · 09/05/2018 17:42

I watched an extract from America Got Talent (or phone of those hideous shows) and cried at the goth lad that sung opera Confused

I forgotten about the Vatican Wailer Grin She was unhinged

AveAtqueVale · 09/05/2018 18:06

I sob every time I read Philip Larkin’s An Arundel Tomb. And this comic makes me tear up every time. Poor little Mars Rover 😢.

I cried when Aidan Connor commited suicide on Monday night.

Dreading watching the fallout on Corrie tonight. Grin

The thing is, I'm not generally a crier!

Ginosaji · 09/05/2018 18:17

The nationwide advert with the scarf 🧣 just searched for it now to remind me what ad was for and it had me bawling my eyes out again Sad

Mammalamb · 09/05/2018 18:19

Each time when pregnant:

When I couldn’t find full sugar Ribena in tescos

When I was t able to eat chocolate (gestational diabete)

When I no longer wanted to drink tea

When I was fed up peeing.

FrangipaniBlue · 09/05/2018 18:30

Fluffy kittens and newborn babies, meh....

I bawled my eyes out in the cinema watching Guardians of the Galaxy 2, when Yondu died after telling Star Lord why he kidnapped him as a child (to save him from his evil father) and again when he got his Ravager Funeral (which he was told he'd never have because of him kidnapping Star Lord as a child!)

DS and DH were not amused.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 09/05/2018 21:11

Ave you got me with poor Mars Rover. 😭😭😭😭

Mammalamb · 09/05/2018 22:21

The dumbo baby mine scene had me bawling as a child. As a mother I don’t think I could bear to see it

BigBrightStarz · 12/05/2018 17:57

When I was pregnant my DH and I went to a cafe for lunch. I really cried my eyes out because my DH left a tiny bit of toast on the plate. I was inconsolable for a good 5 mins before I realised why I was crying!

Stillblundering · 12/05/2018 18:09

I recently cried at an 80's Top of The Pops repeat when the song 19 came on. Then I remembered my lovely sweet niece is that age and soon to be joining the armed forces and it overwhelmed me with sadness at all the terror of war. I'm sure she'll have a great career though and we all sincerely hope she stays safe. I also tear up if I see clips of my favourite old tv programmes from my childhood as I'm particularly nostalgic about the past and also regret leaving it until the last possible moment to think about having dc's and wonder if it will ever happen Blush Any reminder of my own childhood or a potential future baby makes me blub! My chin also wobbles when I see great kindness such as the homeless services workers and people running marathons for their chosen charities-there's usually a poignant back story. Also whever I witness the emergency services doing a great job. I'm a huge boob in secret!!Smile

Stillblundering · 12/05/2018 18:13

Oh and the "Return to Innocence" video by Enigma in the 90's makes me lose my mind. The elderly people whose lives revverse back to their youths when they were fit and well. The sad fact about us all is we'll be old one day (if we are lucky in some respects.)

BigBrightStarz · 12/05/2018 18:17

Me too!!!!! Gets me every time!!!

Charmatt · 12/05/2018 18:19

Some sort of cruising programme where dolphins swam alongside the boat (it wasn't a big liner). I don't even have periods due to the contraceptive I'm on so god knows what came over me! Grin

SlackerMum1 · 12/05/2018 19:28

DP always cries at the opening sequence of the UP film where you see the couple meet and go through life together. I laugh at him but secretly think it’s adorable.

Cluck71 · 12/05/2018 19:37

When I was pregnant my OH got a bit of shopping and bought Red Leicester cheese instead of Cheddar.......I was inconsolable 😂

pigaletta · 12/05/2018 19:39

Oh SlackerMum1 that part of UP is horrendous... I feel weepy just thinking about it!
