So we were driving home from our bank holiday Monday trip out today and drove past the tail end of the marathon. I was suddenly overcome with emotion and started crying all all the runners 😂 (p.s I am pregnant so I have an excuse - unlike Vatican wailer 😂😂😂😂)

For everyone talking about postpartum tears - the morning I got out of hospital (2 days after baby was born due to a section) I sobbed my heart out because I couldn't find the car seat instructions to check I'd put her in safely one last time before we put her in the car.

I also cried that day cause the women coming round with breakfast gave me a dirty glass and I thought she was doing it on purpose because I couldn't hold in my post c section wind HmmHmm😂

When I was pregnant, I bought some doughnuts (reduced in price because they were close to sell by date) and as I bit into the first one, I realised it was slightly (and I mean ever so slightly) stale. Bawled like a baby. In Asda car park. Hardly told a soul about it!

Mousefunky · 08/05/2018 17:51

When I was pregnant my Dbro stole one of my chicken nuggets and I cried. I get very emotional about food when pregnant, I also cried with exh brought home the wrong pizza.

Shhhsleeping · 08/05/2018 18:13

When pregnant I cried when I threw toilet rolls up the stairs and one came back. I've also cried because I couldn't eat a whole pizza.

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 08/05/2018 18:15

A car park space.

I was pregnant at the time.

Many years ago, I was moved to tears by an episode of Supermarket Sweep. Just got sort of swept along with it and the contestants looked so happy with their winnings. I was a student at the time and was almost definitely may have possibly been under the influence of something.

HeartshapedFox · 08/05/2018 20:34

Ah Mousefunky you've reminded me about when I was pregnant and DH came home with sausage rolls, chips and beans for tea. I was so happy I cried Blush

TSSDNCOP · 08/05/2018 20:44

I have seen Apollo 13 at least 50 times, it is my favourite film.

I cry whenever Ken walks into Mission Control.

DollyLlama · 08/05/2018 20:47

When I was pregnant that faze of dancing to the Harlem shake was huge. It came on the radio and I bursts into tears! It just made me feel really uncomfortable and emotional!

Funny, the week before would binge watch the videos 😂 god knows what was going on in my head.

SabineUndine · 08/05/2018 20:49

I cried when Teresa May sent in the article 50 notification. I really felt as though someone had died.

It’s not trivial of course but I hardly ever cry and I was surprised I reacted that way.

Sorry, politics. Carry on, everyone.

Giggorata · 08/05/2018 21:13

The Doctor Who episode about Vincent Van Gogh.
Chelsea Pensioners on Remembrance Day.
Anything to do with the First World War
Perhaps not so weird...
But, DDogs 1 and 2, when they are so happy every evening to get their 3 biscuits each, with the expressions of joy and (cupboard) love on their faces..... I well up.

DwangelaForever · 08/05/2018 21:53

@Giggorata that episode of dr who kills me every time 😭

I also get a lump in my throat watching the Memorial Day parade past the cenotaph. I went to a reinactment of the battle of the Somme when I was pregnant with my daughter and spent the whole day bawling! I then spent the whole night sobbing thinking I'd deafened her as there were sound affects for the big guns!

DwangelaForever · 08/05/2018 22:04

The last photo where it looks like he is smiling 😭

Hoppinggreen · 08/05/2018 22:31

When Barbie finally finds her mummy in Barbie the island princess and they sing a sing together

orenisthenewblack · 08/05/2018 22:37

I cry all the time.
Even in work. It's soooo embarrassing.
I blame hormones too - menopausal ones. Not fun.

PurpleRobe · 08/05/2018 22:50

When I saw my favourite painting in real life.

The last episode of Quantum Leap. Don't even have to watch it. Just thinking or talking about it. Actually any time I describe sam becket

littlegecko · 08/05/2018 22:56

I saw an elderly couple walking round Tesco holding hands - and had a little cry. It came out of nowhere and just crept up on me.

Hedgehog80 · 08/05/2018 22:59

The penguins on my pjs......

Sat on the sofa one evening, looked at my legs and wailed because they reminded me of lost and found
I was mid way through an ivf cycle though and very hormonal !

FuckKnuckle · 08/05/2018 23:05

I visited a prehistoric tomb, and in the visitors centre they had a talk where they showed you some of the things that had been found, especially several skulls. After the talk I asked about the skulls, and I was allowed to handle one.
I howled. I still have no idea why, apart from some poorly formed idea about being so intimate with somebody from millennia ago.
DH and the person who gave the talk were both like, Confused

Ruibies · 09/05/2018 04:00

I sobbed when my friends got me a mug commemorating Prince George's birth as a welcome home gift. I was just so overwhelmed with joy and really can't explain why (absolutely not pregnant, don't have any DC) - definitely not the reaction they were expecting.

AmberNectarine · 09/05/2018 07:48

When Joe McElderry won the X Factor (40w+ pg).
