Softzilla returns..... to soft play

Probably will be a boring thread as i mainly intend to continue just ignoring and refusing to be drawn in to any games but...

Guess where I went today? And who I bumped into there? (I really need to find another place to hang out with people! )
Well she was there when I turned up with party mum. We greeted her with a surprised slightly awkward 'oh... hi!' which she returned, but then sat at a different table.
Later in the afternoon when I'd got home she called and i picked up without thinking. She said she wanted to chat and make it so that we could start going to our usual group again - she seemed to be under the impression that I was no longer going. And asked if she could come over right then. I said no sorry as it was time for dinner/ bath/ bed etc for my dc. I also told her that I was still attending the group and that she didn't need to worry about attending, I joked that it's big enough for both of us..... and she put the phone down. I wondered if it was a mistake but she never called back if it was and I don't want to call her.

I would be interested as to what they said to her about that text whilst they are there. I think it's going to need more than a informal chat

KateGrey · 31/05/2018 12:19

I’d advise any nursery or anyone who has care of your child under no circumstances can your child go with her. She sounds like she has serious issues.

ChevalierTialys · 31/05/2018 12:19

You'll need to start a new thread to keep us updated @UnreasonableUnreasonableness, with links to threads 1, 2 and 3 we need to know how she's explained her behaviour to the police!

Dobby1sAFreeElf · 31/05/2018 12:23

Well if she saw the police outside and immediately assumed that they'd been called by OP, then she must be aware that her behaviour towards OP has been unwelcome and abnormal harassment. If the police showed up outside my house, I'd panic in case something had happened to one of my family. Or I'd think there'd been an incident in my area and they were asking if anyone had seen anything. Or warning people about local scams or burglaries. I certainly wouldn't think "well I've been contacting my friend in a totally normal way so she must have sent the police round".
Good point, that excuse is a dead duck really.

ChevalierTialys · 31/05/2018 12:26

Are you keeping screens shots of all the calls and messages OP?

LexieLulu · 31/05/2018 12:28

She must be effing thick? Texting you whilst being told off for hassling you

Lizzie48 · 31/05/2018 12:36

If this escalates further and she becomes more threatening, she might end up being sectioned as a danger to herself or others. I'd be seriously concerned about her DC as well.

mmzz · 31/05/2018 12:37

or she read the thread and found out the police were on there way, rather than they were with her and sat watching her text the OP?

BuggerOffAndGoodDayToYou · 31/05/2018 12:42

Perhaps she put on her friendly face and offered to make the officers a cup of tea, then she took her phone into the kitchen and continued her craziness.

Catnut · 31/05/2018 12:50

I read the full thread in the night when and went from thinking, " Oh goody, an interesting thread to entertain me!" to realising how serious things have become and feeling so sorry for you. She is absolutely bonkers. Well done on handling it so calmly, I'd have lost my cool with her after the first baby group incident. Good luck with the police. I hope things calm down for you now.

Motoko · 31/05/2018 12:54

PPs wondering what her partner thinks of this, he might not even know. He's not around when the incidents have happened, and he might not take much notice when she's texting someone.

Mind you, he might find out about it soon, if a neighbour mentions the police turning up.

Looselytranslated · 31/05/2018 12:56

You're doing everything right OP. I just know I'd be a basket case in this scenario! I hope the police are helpful.

SandAndSea · 31/05/2018 13:00

Hope you're OK, OP. This all must be really stressful. I'm so glad you've got the police involved now. Flowers

Hissy · 31/05/2018 13:02

Good grief :(

This really IS insane!

FWIW, I had police attend a loony Ex without getting a statement from me first. They did come and speak to me before going the second time tho.

Merryoldgoat · 31/05/2018 13:03

I’ve been following this thread from the start and I’m utterly astounded and that’s a real rarity for me.

OP - you’ve been so calm in the face of such madness. I have no idea how.

ColourfulOrangex · 31/05/2018 13:11

Wow only just caught up on this thread - I remember the first 2 but didn't realise there was another, she sounds absolutely crazy, you have a lot more patience than most people

Hopefully it won't go on for much longer now the police are involved

DragonMummy1418 · 31/05/2018 13:19
