I really don’t think dinosaurs were properly real and I’m not sure that the earth is proper round

It makes my brain hurt so I’m just not going to try.

I am enjoying this idea of "proper round".

brownelephant · 09/03/2018 21:22

it's not 'proper' round, it's more pumpkin shaped.

are you on glue?

SomethingNarstyInTheWoodshed · 09/03/2018 21:22

Ballish

It makes far more logical sense if it’s flat. Like pastry.

Did you have access to education as a child?

IpanemaChica · 09/03/2018 21:23

It’s a sphere

Sashkin · 09/03/2018 21:23

Is this the same troll poster who insisted they got stoned from eating a pizza cooked by somebody who smelt of cannabis?

What does 'properly' real mean? Do you think they were only a bit real? And that the earth is just kind of round? Or do ypu mean you think the earth is actually flat and dinosaurs didn't exist at all? Why does it make your brain hurt? Confused

SomethingNarstyInTheWoodshed · 09/03/2018 21:24

Education was patchy. And welsh. I do have 2 real degrees mind.

Do you know if you blew a snooker ball up to be the size of the world it's mountains would be much bigger. Ergo the world is smoother than a snookerball

SomethingNarstyInTheWoodshed · 09/03/2018 21:24

I wish our local pizza joint did pizza joints.

Take a very long walk and see if you fall off the edge. There should be a dinosaur when you get there 👣👣👣

Eolian · 09/03/2018 21:26

If it were flat, you'd fall off if you went far enough in one direction. But you don't. Plus, have you not seen pictures of the earth taken from space? You have degrees, you say? In what?

DalekDalekDalek · 09/03/2018 21:26

WTAF? They still stick to the curriculum in Wales, even in Welsh medium schools?

SomethingNarstyInTheWoodshed · 09/03/2018 21:26

But that’s just it Danny. Nobody ever has.

OP posts:
Strax · 09/03/2018 21:27

It doesn't make logical sense for it to be flat if you're one of the poor folks who have circumnavigated the globe. How did they manage that without falling off? See, sorted that issue really easily.

Alison100199 · 09/03/2018 21:27

Are you proper real OP?

SomethingNarstyInTheWoodshed · 09/03/2018 21:27

There’s sea and stuff in between the land bits. So you can’t just walk until you meet the edge.

OP posts:
SomethingNarstyInTheWoodshed · 09/03/2018 21:28

Oh hang on. Can you do the whole thing in a boat? That would be different.

OP posts:
NoSwsForYou · 09/03/2018 21:28

I teach in Wales, or did up until recently. Although only primary, I promise you we teach actual facts...

Strax · 09/03/2018 21:28

Yes, you can't walk around it but you can fly or sail and both have been done.

WombOfOnesOwn · 09/03/2018 21:29

I have personally circumnavigated the globe on a ship. Went all the way around starting in eastern Canada, made my way back through the United States from the west coast after seeing Europe, Africa, and Asia, plus long ocean times. The time zones made everyone so tired, so many 23-hour days and even, twice, a 22-hour day!

People have definitely gone all the way around the earth. People are on journeys to do it right now!
