I really don’t think dinosaurs were properly real and I’m not sure that the earth is proper round

It makes my brain hurt so I’m just not going to try.

I've been to Australia but maybe I don't exist.

You do... but I can clearly tell from your syntax that you’re a mumsnet bot existing deep in cyber-space programmed to make (fairly) convincing posts to keep threads going and increase the click rate and MN revenue.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 10/03/2018 18:08

Yes, that makes total sense.

Coloursthatweremyjoy · 10/03/2018 18:12

I'm with you OP.

The world us not round. It is indeed flat and balanced on the back if 4 enormous elephants. They are in turn balanced on the back of a great turtle (sex unknown) called Great A'tuin. After that it's obviously turtles all the way down...

God I miss that man

Cover penetrated. Hostile entity sighted. Engage kill mode.

wakemeupbefore · 10/03/2018 18:42

Reeee- start.
Give the device-of-choice a good whack.
Back to important stuff, like satsumas. Satsuma = Earth sans voids.
Wow.

RedRedBluee · 10/03/2018 18:47

Do you think germs don’t exist too op?

wakemeupbefore · 10/03/2018 18:51

Any takers for germs? Going once.... going twice.....

Beeziekn33ze · 10/03/2018 19:07

OP Do tell, what are your degrees in VIS actually in?

EmpressOfJurisfiction · 10/03/2018 19:19

whenever I think about gravity I just want to lie on the floor and cling to the carpet

Gravity I can cope with. It's the bit about the Earth constantly travelling round the sun while spinning that makes me want to lie on the floor and cling to the carpet.

wakemeupbefore · 10/03/2018 19:27

Gravity in my little mind is akin to magnetism.... or velcro without the fuzzy bits.

SomethingNarstyInTheWoodshed · 10/03/2018 19:35

That spinning thing makes me nauseous. But being flat I’m not sure we do. Unless we spin flatly. And what would be the point of that?

OP posts:
KermitsLoveChild · 10/03/2018 19:40

Colours me too. No more wizards, Nanny Ogg, Greebo, Captain Carrot.

Bloody Stupid Johnston 😁.

BlueEyedBengal · 10/03/2018 19:46

Wtf have I just found I'm welsh. I promise I have nowhere in my life met anyone like this. where in wales were you educated ? My head now hurts going for a coffee I'll be back after I recover!

BabetteAteOatmeal · 10/03/2018 19:49

I’ve got five degrees, two are from Oxbridge. And I’ve been to Finland. It was cold, and Ray Parlour’s goal was disallowed.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 10/03/2018 20:31

Also, I have a second cousin who's lived in Australia since before I was born. Or thinks he has.

YassQueen · 10/03/2018 20:54

Sounds accurate for a Welsh education. That or we just went to the same school Grin

Strax · 10/03/2018 20:56

You know Flat Earthers? Do they think that the other planets are flat too? What about the moon (obviously flat as we only ever see one side of it)? What about stars? Is it just us that's flat? If it is, why is earth the only planet that isn't round? Or do they think the whole of space is made up and they've never looked through an actual telescope. Obviously satelllites are a hoax cos otherwise how could they orbit a flat/cone/mobius/dodecahedron/other shape thing?
It baffles me how much effort they must have to go to to come up with alternative explanations for so many things.

wakemeupbefore · 10/03/2018 21:00

universe as we don't yet know it

Coloursthatweremyjoy · 10/03/2018 21:10

Flowers Kermits - I could still have a good cry. There is a book called "the shepherds crown" in my future...but not yet.

Details thread

Coloursthatweremyjoy · 10/03/2018 21:20

Derails ffs

DollyDayScream · 10/03/2018 21:35

Is this is trolling - bring it on!

Made me smile anyway!

Changingagain · 10/03/2018 21:37

If the world's flat, what's your take on day and night, and timezones?

I can prove dinosaurs to you quite easily. Even 2 year old DS knows. You need to find a waistcoat, a hat, a backpack and a gizmo. Then head off to the Natural History Museum where you'll find a grandfather clock in the corner of the main hall. Wait for it to chime, stand in front of it and then say the magic words, "take me to the time of the dinosaurs."

wakemeupbefore · 10/03/2018 21:39

No, trolling - definition: goady twits trying to get sympathy and tears form warm-hearted posters using ludicrous look-at-me stories.
Tis' scientific discussion, clearly Angry

Heatherjayne1972 · 10/03/2018 21:51

Dinosaurs definitely were real op
They found the bones and everything
And no the Earth isn’t a sphere it’s more oval ish - apparently this is due to the ocean bulging at the equator by ( I think ). the moons gravitation pull
