I really don’t think dinosaurs were properly real and I’m not sure that the earth is proper round

It makes my brain hurt so I’m just not going to try.

Narwhals. Yeah right, as if 😂 😂

Strax · 09/03/2018 22:00

This thread was worth it just for the Terry Pratchett joke, thanks Buttocks

SomethingNarstyInTheWoodshed · 09/03/2018 22:01

I’m still not convince. And it’s bedtime. Many thanks.

tumblrpigeon · 09/03/2018 22:02

Ha ha ha . I kind of agree

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 09/03/2018 22:04

You're welcome Strax. 😆

Thank you Ivy. I think Aunt Ada was taken.

If the earth were flat, how would you keep the sea in?

Willow2017 · 09/03/2018 22:10

I know it rains a lot but not enough to be replacing the many seas and oceans every day when they pour off the earth into space!

I suspect the turtle holding the earth on its back likes a shower 😀

Sigh either schools out or soneones had to much gin already.

I prefer a real "dinosaurs are the work of Victorian scientists who put them there. (Aparently burying them deep into actual rock, using some miracle machine never been seen since, from one end of the obviously flat earth to the other)" genuinely bonkers poster.

But gravity is a myth. The earth sucks.

Fugitivefrombrusstice · 09/03/2018 22:13

Have all the original thoughts you want OP, but don't expect your half-arsed and easily disproved opinions to be given the same weight as scientific fact Hmm

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 09/03/2018 22:13

Brian? Do you mean Brian Cox? He’s just like us, but a bit more sciencey.

JAPAB · 09/03/2018 22:18

I'd like to see a T-Rex for real. I imagine it would be quite a rushm, just as long as it couldn't see you. And if it does, just grab onto it's leg. What is it going to to, swat you off with its arms?

speakout · 09/03/2018 22:18

I'd like to see Brian Cox for real.

Very yummy.

doctorcuntybollocks · 09/03/2018 22:20

I've never been entirely convinced that Mexico exists.

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 09/03/2018 22:21

The earth photos could easily be faked. I mean, does anyone actually KNOW anyone who’s been to space or works at NASA? No? Thought not.
My cousin did. Worked at nasa I mean, I'm not Neil Armstrong's niece or anything.

londonrach · 09/03/2018 22:21

Op...if the world was flat all the water would run off the edge! Wonder what all those bones in the museums are?

speakout · 09/03/2018 22:22

I've never been entirely convinced that Mexico exists.

That;s just silly. My local ASDA has a whole Old el Paso section.
How do you explain that then?

londonrach · 09/03/2018 22:22

Agree re moon landings as if done why not do it now with better technology and better cameras

Spam88 · 09/03/2018 22:24

Oh god, 'photos are flat' might just be the best thing I've read today.

I would like to say, as another person educated in Wales, that I'm totally happy with the earth being round and dinosaurs existing. I also have two degrees and that hasn't changed my mind.

Not a fan of Brian Cox personally. I think we have better people we could put forward to represent the physics community. Except we all hate public speaking.

opionated · 09/03/2018 22:25

mumsnet should not allow inebriated people to post

LittleCandle · 09/03/2018 22:28

The earth can't be flat because the cats would have pushed everything (and everyone!) off it by now if it was. Grin

HTH.

doctorcuntybollocks · 09/03/2018 22:28

I've never been entirely convinced that Mexico exists.

That;s just silly. My local ASDA has a whole Old el Paso section.
How do you explain that then?

El Paso is in Texas, USA. I rest my case.

speakout · 09/03/2018 22:30

So Mexico is in the USA?

Near Old el Paso?

ReinettePompadour · 09/03/2018 22:30

does anyone actually KNOW anyone who’s been to space or works at NASA?

Yes my brother works for ESA and NASA prior to that. He will send you a poster of space and images of the earth if you email him. He sent DS school dozens of literature. He gets paid a mint for researching all this made up stuff, his boss must be insane actually paying him Grin

Kneedeepinunicorns · 09/03/2018 22:31

I get it OP. I've never been convinced by Mondays.
