To think this is unnecessarily bitchy?

Will try to keep brief!
Last Friday I went out with some work colleagues for drinks. Whilst out my colleague/friend bumped into her husband who was with his friends. I hit it off with one of the men he was with and we've been texting with an aim to meet up soon.
My colleague knew this and seemed very keen for us to meet. However yesterday colleague told me she'd seen this man I'm due to go out with as he's a mutual friend. She said quite casually ' I told mutual friend you've got 3 kids by 3 dad's and you've had a boob job'. I told her she's being bitchy and not to put ideas in this man's head. Why would you tell someone that?

Perhaps she's rubbish at introductions and she meant to tell him you like French cinema and hiking.

Frequency · 26/02/2018 15:14

I don't think you have to introduce them to your children or shag them without a condom, those are optional, afaik.

The serial killer thing is an issue but then I'm as likely to wander into a serial killer walking the dog as I am by hooking up with a random bloke I met in a pub.

BearsandHearts · 26/02/2018 15:19

My children have never been introduced to any man other than my ex who they call dad and is a permanent feature in their lives. I do not have any sexually transmitted diseases either

Yes, there are ways of doing this. My DCs would like to see me happy, but I'm not going to be setting a good example if I find myself with an STI while teaching them to be safe ... ....

Especially as the oldest has started dating 🙂

Jobjobjob · 26/02/2018 15:31

I would also be afraid they would be serial killers/paedophiles/infected with multiple STDs.

Highly likely Grin

Not!

BearsandHearts · 26/02/2018 15:33

Exactly job. It was 8 years ago ffs

Aren't most people killed by either loved ones or total strangers. I reckon the odds are Bears side

Frequency · 26/02/2018 17:13

I like to think most men aren't serial killers, whether those men be loved ones, dudes you pass walking the dog or a booty call from Tinder but if we create faux concern for Bear's children, sexual health and unmurdered state, we can judge her without all those other nasty harlots on the thread accusing us of wearing our judgy pants too tight.

It's a win-win. Except for poor Bears, who now feels the need to disclose her sexual health lest we think she's diseased and explain yet again that her kids aren't exposed to numerous 'uncles' every other week.

RebelRogue · 26/02/2018 17:14

Ahhh the "nice" side of judging the fuck out of someone ...the faux concern. Oh but what about the kids? What if he's a serial killer/paedo/has two dicks/STD's etc?

It still boils down to..what you're doing is wrooooong!!! Wrong i tell you!!

RebelRogue · 26/02/2018 17:15

Damn @Frequency you beat me to it. More eloquently put as well. Damn!!

Frequency · 26/02/2018 17:33

I'm 'working', which on a Monday, when I've had barely any sleep roughly translates to refreshing MN every 3.6 seconds while watching YouTube videos on Balayage and Ombre so I can decide which hi-lift or lightener to use on eleven year old DD2's hair, should she want a balayage or ombre when she's sixteen.

I think I've decided on blendable gel lightener. She has beautiful, long curly virgin hair that is just begging to be lightened or coloured but she's eleven so I'm having to sit on my tinting brush for now Sad

BearsandHearts · 26/02/2018 18:56

Bitchy colleague asked me how it went today and I told her I had a nice time but nothing more. She smirked and said he'd told her husband I was fab. I smiled and walked away. Defo never doing a double date

She was fishing to see if you had put out.

expatinscotland · 26/02/2018 19:17

'5 different sexual partners in the past 3 months'

And?

Frequency · 26/02/2018 19:20

If she asks you anything again, Bears, wink, grin and walk away Grin

SleepingStandingUp · 26/02/2018 19:21

You're more grown up than me Bears, I'd have resorted to a sarky retort

stardust18 · 26/02/2018 19:35

Bitch!! Sounds jealous too me.

starlightafar · 26/02/2018 19:39

In two weeks start going to the loos at work feigning morning sickness. Then leave a pregnancy test wrapper in a visible location in the work communal loos.
Refuse all tea and coffee very loudly, complain about smells and start eating gherkins with milkshake on Grin

BearsandHearts · 26/02/2018 19:42

Hahaha starlight

OP posts:
starlightafar · 26/02/2018 19:44

Not joking Grin

SleepingStandingUp · 26/02/2018 19:57

Haha yup although do people get pregnancy symptoms that early?? She'll be telling him its someone elses

starlightafar · 26/02/2018 20:05

I did sleeping.
But you may be right which increases the fun!

SleepingStandingUp · 26/02/2018 20:43

Oh I didn't with mine

Jobjobjob · 26/02/2018 21:25

You still told the bitch too much!!!

When she enquired I'd of said "what date"!

Jessikita · 26/02/2018 21:29

I don’t think it was bitchy of her to tell him these things. I’d want to know if I was interested in a man and my friend had this info and didn’t tell me. How you’ve lived your life is up to you, but all the hassle and baggage of dating a man with 3 kids by 3 different women would put me off so I’d rather know from the start.

However, it was bitchy of her to tell you she’d told him. Uncalled for.
