Two Thousand Sexual Partners

AIBU to judge a man who has had sex with 2,000 people? I normally do not judge the number of people someone has sex with, but this is way over the top.

OP posts:
MiniTheMinx · 25/11/2017 19:10

I'd think they were a dreadful bore. Can't have done much else, or have any interests.

Ffsdh · 25/11/2017 19:33

According to the equation posted earlier I should have slept with -2 people. I can think of 2 people I really shouldn’t have slept with so it’s surprisingly accurate.

lynmilne65 · 25/11/2017 20:17

one would be nice !!

Ethylred · 25/11/2017 20:17

Ffing hell Ffsdh, only 2?

Ttbb · 25/11/2017 20:26

I must admit I would be a bit grossed out but I wouldn't see fit to judge them. It's their business who they sleep with.

NotACleverName · 25/11/2017 20:30

Also, to add, any man who in 24 yrs is not interested in having a relationship with any of the 2,000 women he has shagged is, by definition, an abuser.

I think you need to go and learn what abuse actually is.

OP, I am really not sure why you're so obsessed with what other people do in the bedroom (or wherever they fancy having sex). It's coming across as weird, quite frankly.

birdsdestiny · 25/11/2017 20:30

Sorry bratsy, but this is getting a bit odd. Either you are doing a PhD on the subject or ... well I would rather not think about the other possibility.

LoniceraJaponica · 25/11/2017 20:32

"Also, to add, any man who in 24 yrs is not interested in having a relationship with any of the 2,000 women he has shagged is, by definition, an abuser."

Not necessarily an abuser, but either immature or a commitment phobe perhaps.

Olicity17 · 25/11/2017 20:37

Op why are you so obsessed with others shagging habits?

Tilikum · 25/11/2017 20:46

That's a really serious hobby, right there.

At least it's not cycling though.

TossDaily · 25/11/2017 20:49

2000? God, could you be even arsed?

Surely the law of diminishing returns must kick in at some point and then it all becomes just mucous membranes rubbing together?

I'd rather pick my nose.

TinselTwins · 25/11/2017 20:53

It's no more sex than having one steady partner who you have sex with 3 times a week for 15 years.

I've been with DH forever so have had few partners, but I've had sex far more times than friends who haven't had long term relationships and have had over a hundred partners.

There are some nasty comments about having that much sex, would you say them to people in LTRs who have lots of sex but with the same person?

DorisDangleberry · 25/11/2017 20:54

I'd rather pick my nose.

But would you pick 2000 noses?

There's an Alanis Morissette song in there somewhere

PearlySlug · 25/11/2017 20:58

The difference is having all that sex with different people, you cannot compare it it a long term relationship. I have been with my DH since i was 17, thats over 30 years of sex with one person, no sleeping around, how does that even compare? People who sleep around seem to have little respect for themselves imo

Afternooncatnap · 25/11/2017 21:01

It's always men that say they've slept with loads of partners or aspire to sleep with loads of partners. Just more proof that most men are icky.

helen3000 · 25/11/2017 21:21

@TinselTwins

Having sex 2000 times with 2000 partners in 20-30 years, hardly compares to having sex 2000 times with one person (or with 5 or 6) over 20-30 years.

I can't believe you can't see the massive amount of difference in the two scenarios! Confused

katiethekittenfreddythefrog · 25/11/2017 21:30

Hmm. I'm not going to lie I wouldn't be in a relationship with someone who had slept with that many people. It would really bother me. I don't think I'd want to be with someone who slept with more than about 20!

However I would be their friend with no judgement as long as they were practising safe sex with other consenting adults.

One of DHs friends has been with that many women approximately. He's a straight man, 37, only had one long term relationship which ended because he cheated with multiple women. He started having sex at 13, and grew up with a bit of a dysfunctional family situation (I believe his parents were swingers then his mum left his Dad for another woman which isn't a big deal nowadays but it was in the 90s).

He's said he's a sex addict - I don't know how true this is he may well be. He's actually just started his second actual relationship, I hope he can find someone who he cares for enough to keep it in his pants.

Seriously could you even be bothered though? One partner for the last ten years is fine for me! 😂

Birdsgottafly · 25/11/2017 21:36

My DH died 12 years ago, I was with him from the age of 16. We were together 22 years.

I've also contributed to the FWB thread.

I didn't and don't want to live with anyone again. I experimented when I was newly single, which included group sex.

I don't see why I shouldn't be able to dictate my sex life. I don't understand why you should be forced into a relationship, or go without sex.

I'm 50 next year, so if I'm still active in 12 years then that will be 24 years of just shagging. I could be at that point getting to well over a thousand. If I go till I'm 80, then that will be over 30 years of just shagging and no commitment.

I know lots of divorced/Widowed Women, who don't want anymore children, who feel the same way.

thegrinchreaper · 25/11/2017 21:39

I think the thought of someone keeping the sort of sex diary required to tally the numbers, is more unsavoury than the promiscuity itself.
I wouldn't judge unless if it were one of my children, I'd be very concerned.
I don't care what other people do though.

TinselTwins · 25/11/2017 21:45

@ Helen 3000 & Pearly,

Past posters were very graphic about how it is disgusting to have sex that many times
It's not a lot of times
Most people in LTRs will easily have surpassed it without comments on the state of their anatomy or ability to enjoy it!

helen3000 · 25/11/2017 21:48

It's really not the same @tinseltwins, it really, really, really isn't!

Having sex 2000 times with one or 2 partners over 20 years is NOT the same as having sex 2000 times with 2000 partners. I find it utterly baffling that you think it's the same I really do. You HAVE to be kidding/taking the piss....

justilou1 · 25/11/2017 21:50

Are you sleeping with him? It's not really going to affect you unless you are.

TinselTwins · 25/11/2017 21:52

Helen have you even read the posts I was replying to?

helen3000 · 25/11/2017 21:53

Yes

noeffingidea · 25/11/2017 21:59

Do people actually believe this shite? Funny how these shags are always in multiples of thousands, isn't it?
It's like the old rock star trick where they take a girl into the bedroom for 10 minutes then come out and take another one into the bedroom for 10 minutes, and then another one. Think it was Gene Simmons who got busted doing that one. No not even being in a world famous rock band makes you that fanciable Gene.
