AIBU to judge a man who has had sex with 2,000 people? I normally do not judge the number of people someone has sex with, but this is way over the top.

@brasty this is the second thread in the last couple of days that involves you asking if you're unreasonable for judging someone on their sexual behaviour.

The answer is the same, not only is it peculiar to take such a vested interest in the use of someone's genitals, it is also unreasonable to judge adults on legal, consensual behaviour

asmuchuseasachocolatefireguard · 25/11/2017 16:55

Lemmy's dead isn't he and he corrected the figure?

brasty · 25/11/2017 16:55

Okay most of MN thinks IBU. I will keep my judgements to myself then.

Do you wish you can let your hair down and just hump for the sake of it sometimes? Xmas Grin

TheStoic · 25/11/2017 16:56

Okay most of MN thinks IBU. I will keep my judgements to myself then.

And once again you’ve got the wrong end of the stick.

brasty · 25/11/2017 16:57

In what way?

OP posts:
ShirleyPhallus · 25/11/2017 16:57

A man of 40 who is straight is a commitment-phobe and a abuser of women.

Why is the man automatically an abuser of women if he has that many sexual partners? Confused

DorisDangleberry · 25/11/2017 16:57

Depends on the timescale. 2000 in a week is pushing it a bit. 2000 over a couple of years is fairly standard nowadays

TheCatIsMyEnemy · 25/11/2017 16:58

But why have you started this thread? Who do you know personally who has done this?

ButchyRestingFace · 25/11/2017 16:58

I would be slightly judgey but also very admiring of his time management abilities at the same time.

TheStoic · 25/11/2017 16:59

In what way?

Well for starters, 37ish posts is not ‘most of mumsnet’.

OMGWTFLMFAO · 25/11/2017 16:59

Journo. Blates.

DancingHouse · 25/11/2017 16:59

That's the equivalent of 1 person every day for 5 and a half years. Or 2 people each weekend for 38 years.

I call bullshit

TheCatIsMyEnemy · 25/11/2017 16:59

2000 over a couple of years is fairly standard nowadays

Given that the average is 6 or 7 partners over a lifetime, no it isn't.

MarthaArthur · 25/11/2017 17:00

brasty i agree with you. Thats why theres so many sti's and increased cervical cancer in women is because of having multiple sexual partners, not that i would judge anyone to their face. But the world is becoming too liberal. I read a buzzfeed article that asked people to share their kinkiest things they had done. One was incest sleeping with father and son together. When someone pointed out that was devient and disgusting they were called bigots and judgemental and really condesceneded. So you wont get anywhere online sadly.

WantingMuchMore · 25/11/2017 17:00

It's no one else business but that persons.
It doesnt matter if someone has slept with 2 or 2000 people. (Consensually)
It doesnt matter if they are gay or an escort or just love sex. It doesnt matter if they've fucked men, women or men & women together.
It is none of your business - even if you are the next person having sex with them. Thier current sexual health should be your concern - their sexual past is not.
Yes.
YABU.

WinchestersInATardis · 25/11/2017 17:00

It's high but as long as it's all been consensual, it's no one's business but his.
And I second what other people have said. This is at least the second thread you've started about other people's consensual sexual choices.
Maybe you need to have a good think about why you need to pay so much attention to other people's sex lives.

UrsulaPandress · 25/11/2017 17:01

Surely you would lose count.

blackteasplease · 25/11/2017 17:02

I agree with the poster who said it's only the telling everyone about it that's odd.

I haven't slept with a high number myself but to each their own

UserThenLotsOfNumbers · 25/11/2017 17:02

Yeah has he got a list of them? Lol

Seniorcitizen1 · 25/11/2017 17:02

He is obviously a terrible shag as presimably none went back for more hence the 2000

ButchyRestingFace · 25/11/2017 17:02

AIBU to judge a man who has had sex with 2,000 people?

Julio Iglesias claimed to have slept with over 3,000 women.

It put my poor RC mother (a superfan) right off. Guantanamera never sounded quite the same to her after that. Sad

MarthaArthur · 25/11/2017 17:02

Hpv is undetectable in sti tests. Ergo if i sleep with someone who gives me hpv then it is my business. People can do what they want but then other people are free to judge them.

PaperdollCartoon · 25/11/2017 17:03

I’m finding it odd that it seems to be ok for gay men but not for straight... why is that?

But yes, for the PP to ask, there are gay clubs that basically have sex cupboards in them. Men can go and have sex with multiple men in one night, and then back the next night... it can rack up pretty quickly.
I don’t think many are keeping exact tally’s but you can make an educated guess close to a number.

Certainly not all men are like this though, many (most?) are most happy in just regular old monogamous long term relationships. Before anyone makes sweeping statements about the gay community.

ButchyRestingFace · 25/11/2017 17:03

Utter bollox.
