Read it on The Mail so I won't link but basically British girl meets Dutch guy in Barcelona. He spends the next 3/4 months calling her and asking her to come over to Amsterdam.

She does and then he never shows up at the airport and texts her to say "you've been pigged"

Basically means pulling an ugly girl to then dump her.

He denies it but even if he did do aibu to think you would never tell this story to the world?

I feel worried for my child when I read these types of stories if this sort of nasty shit is seen as fun for blokes. Being stood up is bad enough, but in a foreign country is the pits. She obviously didn't have the confidence to spend the time hanging out alone so came back home. I think it's good she told her story and I hope other young girls read it and have a back up plan if travelling alone. She had the last laugh by the bad publicity it brought him!
