Seriously, wtaf is this photo about? She's dressed up like a hawaiian barbie doll, and is holding those poor twins with such an air of detachment, it's actually freaky. I actually think she's gone mad. Sir Carter and Rumi ........... those kids are gonna love those names when they're in school Hmm

It's a goddess picture alright but why has she made the babies look so scrappy, why does she not cherub them up a bit, they should be beautific like she is surely?
Or is there some symbolism that I'm missing?

Notso · 14/07/2017 13:08

It's not something I'd do but it's not much different to all the other frankly weird newborn photo shoots that seem so popular. I can't remember the last time I saw a newborn professional picture where the baby was dressed and comfortable rather than baked in a stupid hat, daft box or in a wooly cocoon.

Rosa · 14/07/2017 13:13

Looked at and thought FGS and wtf. ..

DistanceCall · 14/07/2017 13:19

Her children were born with jaundice and were in an incubator until recently. That's why they look "scrappy". Are you suggesting that she should have photoshopped them to plump them up?

HannahMontannaBeachTowel · 14/07/2017 13:20

I have always strongly disliked Beyoncé. I like her songs though so probably jealousy. However I don't think any kids are going to tease her children no matter what they are called.

FlandersRocks · 14/07/2017 13:24

That photo is like a case study in narcissism. Totally about her and the babies are an afterthought

Because God forbid that a women should think about herself first, ever

Except that most parents tend to put their newborns before them. This was clearly the twins 'introduction' photo - but they're a relatively minor part of it. It's an overdone, airbrushed to fuck, 'look at me' pic where the babies are almost an excuse just to show how fabulous she is straight after birth - really distasteful.

FlandersRocks · 14/07/2017 13:25

Her children were born with jaundice and were in an incubator until recently - mmm, indeed. Maybe spend a bit of time at home with them then rather than hours in hair and make up and dragging them on photo shoots.

Imbeingunreasonable · 14/07/2017 13:29

BogQueens that is the exact quote I get in my head everytime I hear what Beyonce's spawn is called 😂

rinabean · 14/07/2017 13:37

it doesn't look like her stomach is airbrushed. It's the point of the drapes. And she's wearing knickers for her pads. Her belly's in shadow, which helps make it look further behind than it is. Her knickers are curving in a way that looks like her belly is rounder than it immediately appears here. Which is fine.

She's not looking at them because it's meant to be like an old formal portrait, but with a modern edge. Isn't it obvious?

No-one expects anyone to look like Beyonce at any time let alone after giving birth. She doesn't look like this! She's presenting herself like a mixture of queen and goddess. It's a portrait. So what if she wants portraits doing. I would too if I could afford it! I'll probably have to settle for the black-and-white gazing into their face in the hospital bed pic, which is just as much trickery (for skin tone and hiding belly) as her flowing clothes for her figure here

It's not nice to pick apart a post partum woman's figure or to accuse her of having gone mad (because of a picture and the names she picked - not out of actual concern for her behaviour, concern for PND). Is it not enough to say that it's normal to have your pregnancy figure still at this stage, and to say you don't get the pic and wouldn't want one of your own doing?

Ruscoex2 · 14/07/2017 13:41

It is an odd picture and Is that her tummy button ? if so it is suspiciously high, I mean it's actually up near her boobs and no where near where it should be which is much lower down on the body. It's either a photo shop fail or a nip and tuck job.

Mrsmartell08 · 14/07/2017 13:44

Say what you like about Jay-Z but he's done a lovely job on that box hedge

DistanceCall · 14/07/2017 13:46

Except that most parents tend to put their newborns before them.

It's a picture, FFS. Most mothers take pictures of themselves with their children. You don't like it, fine. But she's not making them climb up chimneys.

quencher · 14/07/2017 14:03

I have seen the Instagram pic. They are two boys. The caption has mum, dad, sister and two baby boys emojis
Why is one boy called sir and the other isn't? 🤔

AdoraBell · 14/07/2017 14:14

Constance my bump disappeared overnight when my twins were born. I was left with a jelly belly so no claims to perfection Grin but it was like deflating a beach ball.

hazeydays14 · 14/07/2017 14:17

Why is one boy called sir and the other isn't? do twins usually have the same name Confused

Sallystyle · 14/07/2017 14:19

I don't see a belly button. I think it's a mole!

hazeydays14 · 14/07/2017 14:19

Not sure if it is two boys or a boy and girl twin though. There isn't a baby girl and boy emoji, just a baby

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 14/07/2017 14:19

She looks ridiculous but I guess that was the look she was going for? I mean, she must know that she looks ridiculous?

ComputerUserNotTrained · 14/07/2017 14:22

She looks awesome

BarbarianMum · 14/07/2017 14:22

Beyonce had a plot?! Shock

VladmirsPoutine · 14/07/2017 14:30

FlandersRocks Thank goodness we have you here to tell women what they should be doing after the birth of their children.

My ex boss was back in the office within a week of giving birth.
My friend took 2 years off.
A colleague decided to become a SAHM.
Another colleague went part-time.

I do hope all women everywhere ask you to opine on their choices first.

And yes - of course Beyonce was dragging them on photoshoots. I bet she had to stand in the rain at the bus stop for hours waiting for transport to the studio and of course the studio must have been so dingy and dangerous for her newborns.

MommaGee · 14/07/2017 14:30

I don't getwhy you'd call the boy Sir Carter so he's now Sir Carter Cart. Thought North West was bad enough. At least Blue Ivy was different not ridiculous.

The babies look really uncomfortable. She looks like she could be posing with anything in her arms.

Just odd

BraveBear · 14/07/2017 14:58

do twins usually have the same name

They usually both have names, not a name for one and a prefix for the other.

hazeydays14 · 14/07/2017 15:01

They usually both have names, not a name for one and a prefix for the other.

Yes but that doesn't answer the question Why is one boy called sir and the other isn't?

Yes one twin has a non-name but I still stand by the fact you wouldn't have twins with the same name, regardless of what it is.. Confused

VladmirsPoutine · 14/07/2017 15:04

hazey I get what you mean. It's a bit like calling one twin 'King' and the other something like 'Paul'. It would follow that even if they were boy/girl or even girl/girl or boy/boy they'd have names of equal stature.
