Seriously, wtaf is this photo about? She's dressed up like a hawaiian barbie doll, and is holding those poor twins with such an air of detachment, it's actually freaky. I actually think she's gone mad. Sir Carter and Rumi ........... those kids are gonna love those names when they're in school Hmm

tabbymog - a bit of art criticism/theory might explain it for you. Concentrate hard now!

This made me giggle a little. Quote from the guardian.
Like every mother who has just given birth, Beyoncé is finding it tough to get dressed and leave the house. You know what it’s like: you’ve been wearing your dressing gown for days and the furthest you have been in a month is the front steps while you’re breastfeeding to have a deranged chat with a slightly alarmed delivery man. We’ve all been there, Bey! And so, for the long-awaited photo of her with her newborn twinss*, which she has at last gifted the world, Beyoncé is wearing an open robe and standing in what indeed looks like her back garden. Just keepin’ it real.

IWouldLikeToSeeTheseMangoes · 16/07/2017 00:38

GrinGrin yeah proper keepin it real. It's a very relatable image I mean who hasn't given birth then posed for a pic in knickers and a wedding veil cradling her props children. Wonder if there were any outtakes where one or both of them shat down her leg.

A naked woman holding two babies in a very uncomfortable grip, with a fishnet over her hear, wearing something suspiciously similar to my granny's lounge curtains, with a funeral wreath on the background. One of the most vulgar, classless, ridiculous photos I have ever seen. Which exactly defines Beyonce.

aurynne · 16/07/2017 00:47

*hair

SomewhatIdiosyncratic · 16/07/2017 01:01

It's like a glamourous parody of when I answered the door to the postman partially dressed with a long cardigan covering much of the damage, clutching a new born DS1.

The reason for my state of partial undress was the EMCS rendering all my under the bump maternity clothing useless, and the postman was delivering new over the bump trousers that wouldn't irritate the wound.

I hoped that DS1 was cute enough to divert attention away from my very unglamourous pants Grin

Bejazzled · 16/07/2017 01:31

"The colour of her skin" ^^ Really? Honestly, it never even occurred to me as I was too busy pissing myself laughing at the utter ridiculousness of the self obsessed idiot

Lallypop · 16/07/2017 07:23

When I first saw this my jaw hit the floor

Cailleach666 · 16/07/2017 07:32

I like the photo- I totally get it.

CaptainMarvelDanvers · 16/07/2017 07:50

She's an ego maniac.

Amanduh · 16/07/2017 07:55

Blue, Sir and Roomy. Possibly beats North and Saint on the ridiculous names front.

She has a huge ego. Needs to feed the publicity machine. Photoshop galore. I don't get the constant Beyonce adoration either, or the fact her husband treated her like absolute shit... they both sing about it... and she is seen as some strong feminist woman with self respect, yet stays with him. Hmm

Cailleach666 · 16/07/2017 08:13

She's an ego maniac.

She is an astute business woman.

noeffingidea · 16/07/2017 08:41

She hasn't lost the plot at all, she knows exactly what she's doing.
It does come across as a little bit narcissitic to me, but then she's not alone. It seems to be part of modern culture. Instead of just getting on with things everything has to be photographed and turned into a massive event.
All that really matters is that the children are loved and cared for and grow up to be healthy and stable adults. Beyonce posing for daft artistic photoshoots doesn't have to have any bearing on that at all.

CaptainMarvelDanvers · 16/07/2017 08:54

Cailleach666 with a massive ego.

hollyisalovelyname · 16/07/2017 08:56

I'm with Amanduh.

This thread proves her publicity machine works. We're all talking about Bey (and her twins)

Bedsheets4knickers · 16/07/2017 09:01

I think she's fucking nuts !

Cailleach666 · 16/07/2017 09:03

I think she's fucking nuts !

Maybe- but she is worth 350 million dollars- so not that crazy.

Hallomiaddicted · 16/07/2017 09:07

I love it, better than those tacky OK shoots or distasteful Facebook overshare pictures. Why the hell not !!!!

HidingUnderARock · 16/07/2017 12:04

I wouldn't want to be a girl called Roomy, but then almost anything can be made into something.
I thought the way she was holding them was a bit odd, but they seem happy (asleep) enough.
Its a bit of fantasy and she's a freshly new mum. Let her celebrate it with a pic to her own taste. Its certainly memorable.

provider5sectorzz9 · 16/07/2017 12:08

Criticism just makes her fans love and defend her all the more

Lovedlost · 16/07/2017 14:40

Maybe she has a thyroid problem.
I lost 3.5 stone in 4 weeks after my last baby. I was 38. The following week I was on a beach, in a bikini, BF my newborn.
Many people asked if she was adopted.
I was very proud until my diagnosis.
