To think Ariana Grande is fucking amazing for doing this concert

Whatever the reason the Manchester bomber chose her concert to commit his atrocity must play on her mind so it takes some serious balls to come out and do this.

I've never heard of any of her songs though!

YANBU

I've just said exactly the same, its fantastic that she's come back and arranged this concert and lovely of her to visit the hospital on Friday and speak to the children still in there. A lot of others wouldn't have bothered. Never heard of her before but have lots of respect for her now.

Beansprout30 · 04/06/2017 21:00

She's doing such a great thing for those poor kids, she's just a kid herself but seems so genuinely caring.

jnl0612 · 04/06/2017 21:02

You can tell she's genuinely emotional too !

Flightywoman · 04/06/2017 21:04

I think she's got serious balls, and I hope it's as healing for her as it is for her audience.

She looks to me like she's right on the edge, and having her friends there as support is carrying her through.

TrueColors · 04/06/2017 21:05

YANBU - she is totally amazing - but can we please stop with the "she's a child/kid" comments. How patronising. She's a woman, a young one but a woman nonetheless.

Fluffyears · 04/06/2017 21:06

Look at all those people saying 'you will not win!' It is amazing!

BeyondTheReasons · 04/06/2017 21:08

She'll be 24 this month. How is she a kid?

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 04/06/2017 21:09

YANBU. She is amazing.

wobblywonderwoman · 04/06/2017 21:09

Yes she is a women. A wonderful person - I thought at first that the concert was too soon but I admit it is fabulous and just what the country needed tonight.

Beansprout30 · 04/06/2017 21:10

I used the term 'she's a kid' loosely ffs, as in she's not some 50 year old with years of life experience who may be able to handle such a shocking event a little easier

gunting · 04/06/2017 21:11

She's fabulous, perfect response to the atrocities. Easter Smile

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 04/06/2017 21:12

Yanbu, is never heard of her before that horrific night. So amazing to get this concert together at such short notice.

DrowningSeas · 04/06/2017 21:12

I agree. She is on edge and the music and other singers are carrying her through it.

She's fucking incredible tho. Bless her.

StealthPolarBear · 04/06/2017 21:13

I'd never heard of her before the event but I am impressed. Good for her.

Hassled · 04/06/2017 21:15

I have to confess I hadn't heard of her pre-Manchester, but have read up about her since and everything has been positive; there was a piece in the Guardian who clearly love her. And yes, I think she is fucking amazing for doing this - a young woman who has grown up in a TV child start bubble, who must have had the fright of her life but has responded with so much strength and kindness.

Beyondworried · 04/06/2017 21:15

Never heard of her before but impressed. Fabulous singer. I am sure she has been deeply affected by this atrocity and hope she is also getting support in some form.

lilyborderterrier · 04/06/2017 21:15

She's ace x so young but so strong an amazing thing to do which she could easily have ignored and stayed away. Big love to her x
I don't know any of her songs either but great concert x

Bellaposy · 04/06/2017 21:16

I couldn't have picked her out of a line up before this happened but she's been bloody marvellous in everything I've seen of her and tonight I've learnt she can really sing! Who knew!

RainbowJack · 04/06/2017 21:16

YABU.

Publicity. Hardly altruistic.

StealthPolarBear · 04/06/2017 21:17

What should she have done then?

InglouriousBasterd · 04/06/2017 21:18

She's bloody amazing. Just said the same to my mum. Gone above and beyond, love her.

PurpleAlerts · 04/06/2017 21:19

Never heard of her before the Manchester bombing a few weeks ago. Amazing young woman. Actually really talented! Very emotional evening- especially with what happened last night.

Just the sort of retaliation we needed to thumb the nose at the fucking brainless weak morons who perpetrate these atrocities.

Justaboy · 04/06/2017 21:19

A real trouper the show must go on as they say and it sure has.

And shes just got another fan albeit an old geezer of 66!.

Bless her:-)

Bearbehind · 04/06/2017 21:19

OK rainbow, what else could she have possibly done?

How else should someone react to the fact her concert was targeted?

Would you have gone on stage so publicly if that had happened to you?
