To think Ariana Grande is fucking amazing for doing this concert

Whatever the reason the Manchester bomber chose her concert to commit his atrocity must play on her mind so it takes some serious balls to come out and do this.

I've never heard of any of her songs though!

I think she's done a great thing, brave too. I don't understand why people would see it as a negative thing? She's raising shed loads of money for a great cause, she's returned to stage after what happened, yes she's getting a lot of publicity but it's to raise money?

Want2bSupermum · 04/06/2017 21:48

Piers Morgan, in his DM drivel is normally appealing to Americans. She is given a hard time here because she is seen as too provocative. Taylor Swift and Colbie caillat are the type of female artists that are held up as role models for younger girls.

RainbowJack · 04/06/2017 21:48

I have been watching tonight and she is visibly emotional.

She is/was an actress.

literally risking her life? Hmm

At her concert but she was nowhere near.

And it isn't bitter to recognise fluff for what it is.

RedHelenB · 04/06/2017 21:48

My dd s friend who was at the original concert got tickets and Northern rail put on free trains. Definitely a positive this week I would say.

Of course I know, I'd hope I did. I've also not announced where.

BeyondTheReasons · 04/06/2017 21:51

I honestly thought she would never perform again, I'm so glad I was wrong. What a strong woman

What?! It never entered my mind that she would never perform again. She was never going to end her career.

DrHarleenFrancesQuinzel · 04/06/2017 21:52

I was just about to mention Sam & Kat. Think everyone should have a quick look at it on YouTube. That voice she does.

I like Break Free, but Im not really a fan of her music as such, just that song.

Certainly worse people for my DDs to aspire to

BarryTheKestrel · 04/06/2017 21:52

Bear no it's just Liam.

youarenotkiddingme · 04/06/2017 21:53

Rainbow - are you piers Morgan?!

BarryTheKestrel · 04/06/2017 21:53

Having watched for a few hours now I am in awe of her. I'm not sure how much of what I have read about what she's done for the victims and their families is true, however even if a small percentage of it is, the woman has a heart of gold.

She's got balls too.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 04/06/2017 21:53

I am as cynical as they come. I had no opinion of her before. Now I think she is great. Even if she does benefit from this (of course she does) or has been told to do it, it is still awesome and I will be showing it to my daughters as something to be proud of.

Bearbehind · 04/06/2017 21:54

I'm hoping Noel is the second act they're talking about.

That would be the ultimate 'Manchester unites for music', rightly or wrongly.

It's incredibly bitter and pretty much lacking any sort of class to try and find something to criticise about tonight.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 04/06/2017 21:54

Sometimes circumstances throw a career a boost, Queen@LiveAid being an example. This is her moment - she will be forever associated with the attack and she now gets on live tv/radio. I don't begrudge her this and I'm sure she would rather it hadn't happened like this but life gave her lemons and she and her management have made lemonade.

MyChemicalMummy · 04/06/2017 22:01

Rainbow

You are a nasty bit of work aren't you?
Lets just how you never get caught up in something so terrible.

StealthPolarBear · 04/06/2017 22:04

I'm impressed but no, she's not as much a victim as anyone else

GirlOnATrainToShite · 04/06/2017 22:05

I can't work out her outfit Confused

RainbowJack · 04/06/2017 22:05

No MyChemicalMummy, I'm not.

I have an opposing opinion. There are only one set of people making personal attacks and it isn't me.

MissEliza · 04/06/2017 22:08

Totally agree with you Op. Getting this organised so quickly was quite a feat. I love the positive loving message it sends to the whole world. I think she's a great role model for young girls today.

Bearbehind · 04/06/2017 22:09

Seriously rainbow how do you get through life being so fucking heartless?

Do you see the good in anything?

OP posts:
LouHotel · 04/06/2017 22:11

Amazing concert but im currently sat here praying a news bulletin isnt about to flash because there's been attack whilst people are leaving the stadium.

AdoraBell · 04/06/2017 22:12

I knew of her through DDs when they were younger.

What she's done is amazing given her age and the effect the attack must have had on her.

BoredByTheChore · 04/06/2017 22:14

Well I'm not a fan of her kind of music but she's really impressed me tonight. Very brave.
