Fucking Dominos not delivering

HolditFinger · 03/06/2017 22:26

Okay, this is fucking WAR.
I placed an order to Dominos in my local town last night (it was only chicken and within my syns, SW people) but it never turned up. I did the online tracker, an hour came and went. After an hour and a half I gave up and went to bed. HANGRY.

So, as you do, I wrote about it on their page. Though I left off the bit about 'chicken strippers' and the mental image of plucked hens with nipple tassels dancing around poles...though if they don't respond this time, maybe I'll unleash the filth.)

I even included screen shots of my order and the tracker. Still no response. I used to work for these people. They forget I still have head office stored on my phone and a direct line to Ewan, the regional manager. My patience is wearing thin. So tonight, I sent this. And I absolutely will carry it out and more.

First email last night:

Hello
I placed an order last night which never arrived. Please see attached confirmation order and tracker screenshot. I'd like a refund thanks.

2nd email tonight:
Hello

Since you haven't seen fit to bother replying to my earlier post about food ordered and not delivered, complete with attached order email and the tracker screenshot in comments, I shall try again.

I didn't receive my food. I gave up waiting after an hour and a half and went to bed. I want a refund.

I feel it's only fair to let you know that my posts to this page are being published not only on my blog and personal author page, but numerous forums which I'm a member of too. Your notoriety isn't restricted to locality. To date, 32,000 followers of my own site are following this with glee. No doubt the Mail will pick it up soon (if I forward it to my personal contact there) since I'm about to publish it on Mumsnet.

If I don't receive a response by tomorrow morning, then tomorrow I shall ring head office and air my grievance. Since I used to work for your store, I still have the number. Good old Ewan.

Failing that, I shall come in personally and complain loudly for a VERY long time during one of your busiest collection times. Again, I know when those are (see above.)

You can either reply to me as any reasonable business would, or the shit can hit the fan. The ball is in your court now.

I'm not being unreasonable, am I?
Any further suggestions from you awesome nest of vipers ladies would be much appreciated.

So have you contacted the branch directly today?

khajiit13 · 03/06/2017 22:37

Are you for real. Get a grip.
Phone again or go Instore.

What a drama queen

wannabestressfree · 03/06/2017 22:37

As you have insider knowledge phone them when you know them to be less busy. And if your money is so sparse why spend a tenner on glorified nuggets?

VimFuego101 · 03/06/2017 22:37

Jeez, you really are hangry. Eat a Snickers and calm down.

I'm not after anything other than my money back. And yes I'm dropping names since they failed to respond to me the first time.

I have had a similar experience when I ordered pizza to be delivered to my husband at work when he was on a night shift as a surprise. Dominos is within sight of his workplace but he is unable to leave the site to collect. It's a 5 minute walk, so much less than that in a car.

I texted him an hour after placing the order to ask how his pizza was - a bit annoyed he hadn't texted me to mention it. It hasn't been delivered yet was showing on the app as delivered. I phoned them up and was told it was on its way - I queried why it was showing as delivered on the app and was told it was because the app automatically shows delivered after a certain amount of time since ordering. 20 minutes later still no delivery so phoned again and was told the driver had delivered and was back at the store. This was not true, so I told them to either get a fresh (hot) pizza there within the next 15 minutes or refund me. They refunded me.

I complained the next day and was given vouchers for free pizzas next time I ordered from them. They are quite receptive if you complain through the right channels I found.

RJnomore1 · 03/06/2017 22:40

I didn't think they delivered sides if you hadn't ordered a pizza

Figaro2017 · 03/06/2017 22:41

This thread isn't going as you intended huh OP? Grin

Thelastusername · 03/06/2017 22:41

Are you sure you selected "for delivery" if you ordered online or used the app and not automatically "for collection"? I did this by accident the other day, despite ordering regularly and never having done t before. Had to send poor dh out to go and collect it.

DailyMailReadersAreThick · 03/06/2017 22:42

"Hangry" YABU

DailyMailReadersAreThick · 03/06/2017 22:42

P.S. Nobody cares about your syns

EllaHen · 03/06/2017 22:42

But surely op is due her money back? Why all the wanky responses?

Crack on op. I hear Twitter is the fastest way to get your complaint dealt with.

LorLorr2 · 03/06/2017 22:43

Maybe they're a bit dodgy to contact on the weekend, I'd wait until Monday to hear from them. Or could you just go in?
Good luck, hope you get your refund! :)

OhSoggyBiscuit · 03/06/2017 22:44

Oh noes! £10 of your £100 treat money! I get about £20 shy of that per WEEK total and I don't kick up a almighty fuss online when Domino's fail to deliver my chicken strips Confused

Sparklingbrook · 03/06/2017 22:44

if you look at a lot of retail Twitter pages they just tell the customer to go into the branch, they don't do anything themselves.

OP is due a refund but is going about it all the wrong way and making themselves look really silly to boot.

HolditFinger · 03/06/2017 22:44

That's my issue though - they're not dealing with it and ignoring it, and definitely not giving me a refund.

Ok, I accept I may have a bee in my bonnet about it (and being a total twatwaffle) but who amongst you wouldn't be annoyed about a wasted £10 and the further insult of it not being addressed?

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 03/06/2017 22:45

Just go into the shop and ask?

Flyinggeese · 03/06/2017 22:46

OP just message them on their Twitter page along the lines of 'please can someone contact me about order ref xxx which was paid for but not delivered. Thanks'.

That way someone in customer services should be compelled to reply but without all the threatening tactics. Now I know the Daily Mail will 'report' on any old sad face rubbish but even for them running a story on a pizza non delivery would be ridiculous. That bit just makes you sound a bit deranged.

Untangled07 · 03/06/2017 22:46

You ordered the pizza last night (Friday), but in the complaint email you sent last night (also Friday) you talk about the order you placed 'last night' (which would be Thursday)? I'm confused.

Did you try phoning your local store today? I hope you didn't really send that email - it's kind of embarrassing.

eviethehamster · 03/06/2017 22:47

This is a joke, right?

Biscuit
Floralnomad · 03/06/2017 22:47

Sorry but I don't believe they were not answering the phones , unless your order was made so late the shop was shut , you should have called today , it was probably delivered to the wrong address , really no need to be creating such a fuss .

AlmostAJillSandwich · 03/06/2017 22:47

They don't have the greatest customer services, a few years ago i placed an order online, an hour passed, called up, and they had never gotten the order. Year after that had an order that turned up an hour late, had the wrong toppings, and completely cold. Complained, got told will absolutely be looked in to, and would get back to me. Never heard from them again, despite sending a follow up email.

That being said you've been way OTT heavy handed here. Have you definitely checked it was for delivery not collection? One side £7 or less doesn't seem like it would be viable for delivery.

Also, if you've got £100 a month to spend on treats you're doing way better than most, so stop with all the "i'm so hard done by" martyr crap.

CaulkheadUpNorf · 03/06/2017 22:48

have they definitely charged you? I had an issue recently where I thought ours accepted sides only but it didn't and so they didn't process my order, just showed it as cooking all the time.
