To ask I if anyone has changed their voting preference?

I started off thinking I'd vote SNP but I've definitely settled on Labour.

I'm not pretending that any if the available options are perfect but I feel like every time Theresa May talks about Brexit and "stands up" to Europe (our closest ally and trading partner ffs), it's a bit like cringing as a racist out of touch relative starts spouting off at a party and praying to God they don't say anything too damaging for the sake of the family's reputation.

As for strong and stable....

However, I can't pretend that Labour are much better, I just know that their view of society chimes more closely with mine.

I don't want to start a bun fight, I just want to gauge how dramatic this Tory landslide is going to be or if there's still some hope....

Dons hard hat and awaits flaming!

Haven't changed my preference, will be voting labour as I always do.

I have voted Green since I first got my vote back in 2005, but this year I'll be voting Labour for the first time ever.

I've said many times that I'd never vote Labour as previous policies did not generally benefit myself or my family, but their manifesto is the closest match to what I think this country needs at the moment (especially in terms of free university education and NHS funding).

I would also never vote for someone who would consider voting on bringing back fox hunting, or the ivory trade.

I wasn't planning on voting for Labour, but I will be. Mainly as a protest vote against the conservative party. If WE were standing in my area I'd vote for them though.

Yes, I was going to vote conservative but now I think I will go Lib Dem. OH is normally a staunch Tory, but is swaying to a lib dem vote too. We won't vote for Corbin but don't want to vote for the torys so this feels like the best course. Lib dems are the biggest threat to our Tory MP.

This thread won't help you gauge anything though, I wouldn't have posted when I was a Tory voter because you'll always get flamed.

Always voted labour but switching this time. I want to see Corbyn forced to leave so that labour can become electable again in 5 years' time. Won't vote SNP due to independence and education. Debating between Tory (tactical vote to get snp out) and lib dem (closer to my actual views but no chance of getting in).

Was Tory am going lib dem. Two reasons: Brexit and social care.
I was actually a member of the conservatives- notified them a few weeks back I wished to resign. They haven't got round to asking why yet!

I'd like to vote labour but where I live I think it would be a wasted vote so I might vote Lib Dem but I will be watching to try and make my vote count.

I was going to vote Tory, as the least terrible option. I'm pro-Brexit.

Having looked at the manifesto, I don't think I can bring myself to do it. Their proposals to censor the internet are downright dystopian.

Spoilt ballot it is, then.

Ryan I'm not going to base my entire understanding of what's going to happen in the election on this one thread, just interested in hearing people's opinions.

I also don't plan to flame any Tory voters.

We all have our own journeys and reach our viewpoints due to our unique individual experiences so no nastiness from me. However, it all feels so hopeless if you're not Tory was just looking to know if there are any folk out there who are changing or if the poll results that inspired TM to call the ejection are set in stone.

No not changed. Labour before and still Labour now. Won't make the slightest difference here - it's a very safe Conservative seat.

Labour voter all my life. This time I just can't vote for Corbyn. I'll vote Tory I think.

I can't stand my (Labour) MP, or Corbyn, but will vote Labour anyway; her seat is fairly safe but the Tories are the second biggest party here, and I can't risk them getting in even though I've joined the Lib Dems

berties I wasn't criticising, and I never said YOU would flame a Tory, but other people are notorious for it. My gauge comment was taken directly from your "I'm trying to gauge if there's any hope" quote. As I said, many won't post for fear of flaming so it won't give a full view - not sure what's so wrong with me stating that.

I was willing to base mine on politics rather than personality.

However, even with a few Hmm policies, the story manifesto is more aligned with what's going to benefit my family long run.

I've voted everything from Lib Dem to UKIP and taken it from election to election

If I wasn't voting Tory, I'd probably go Lib Dem though the cannabis thing I think is a car crash.

Labour? Not a chance for me afraid.

I have always voted Labour but I wasn't going to due to JC shambles. I would never vote Tory nor UKIP, obvs), but would probably have voted LD or Green just so neither Lab or Tory could count my vote - it's pointless where I live anyway, Tory stronghold.

But I am more and more swayed back to Labour. Not JC, he's still a mess, but their policies overall are good. Not 100% sure what I'll vote yet though.

Staunch steeped in the trade unions labour where I live, so i never feel my vote counts. Not impressed with anyone atm, sick of left/right politics. I'll probably vote conservative just to go against the local flow.

I think I struggle with JC as leader and the inexperienced shadow l cabinet but then I look at the fact that
A) TM's strong and stable rhetoric is just that-rhetoric. Were she up against any other Labour leader and were the papers to give her even a remotely difficult time then I don't think that she'd stand a chance. She is much weaker than she'd have us believe-no
Plan for Brexit, disastrous public reception to social care policy and at the mercy be if the far right if her party.

B) The thought of any party having a massive majority with a weak opposition is terrifying but at such a momentous and uncertain stage in our history (Brexit) and with public services continuing to suffer I can't bear it!

So Labour it is but I'm not pretending it's a panacea, in fact either way I'm quite scared!
