AIBU to think that some people just don't get it? It's been given some rubbish reviews in the press but it is bloody brilliant! Grin Grin Grin
Do you have to be in your 40"s & from up North to understand the jokes, radio adverts, music, relationships?

Got to agree, I appreciate how both characters seem to get their fare share of good lines. I've always felt that about Peter Kay's stuff though - he shared the jokes and comedy fairly with his co-stars and he clearly knows that certain actors are good at certain things.

I've seen Sian in other stuff of his but apparently she was working in a call centre when Peter and the other writers asked her to be in this. I think it's nice that he remembers people he's worked with in the past - a lot of actors don't!

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 12/04/2017 20:16

Watched all of them and I'm miffed that there's no more!

Loved everything about it, cracking TV and Guy Garvey too

TheNaze73 · 12/04/2017 20:21

I think it's the best thing he's done since Phoenix Nights. I was proper laughing last night

QueenieGoldstein · 12/04/2017 20:23

We loved it! I mentioned to DH about the possible MN reference Grin

StripyHorse · 12/04/2017 21:25

I love it but I am north wales and nearly the right age.... I have the Now cd Kayley gives John Blush

Is it bad that I had to Google to see if the Shaun Ryder rehab centre was a real thing?!

Unicorndreamer · 12/04/2017 21:26

I absolutely love car share.

ClarkWGriswold · 12/04/2017 21:27

DH and I love it. It's hilarious and the relationship between John and Kayleigh is adorable. I'm southen and grew up with exactly the same type of crap adverts from the local radio station.

Does anyone else think there needs to be a Car Share album?

Hassled · 12/04/2017 21:29

I never saw Season 1 because Peter Kay has always slightly irritated me. But I watched it last night and was just entranced. I loved it.

Maudlinmaud · 12/04/2017 21:30

I bet Peter Kay is reading this thread, it's clear he uses mumsnet. Hi Peter

MyNameIsJane · 12/04/2017 21:33

Soft southerner here who loves it!

QueenieGoldstein · 12/04/2017 21:58

Does anyone else think there needs to be a Car Share album?

Absolutely yes although there are playlists on YouTube that you can listen to with all the songs from Forever FM.

southeastdweller · 12/04/2017 22:11

Just watched the second series but missed the Mumsnet reference in episode 4 that was mentioned upthread - what was it?

Clayhead · 12/04/2017 22:15

All the signs about pies in Wigan - me and dd were posl.

mrstiggy · 12/04/2017 22:22

PK said 'are you on glue?!' and then they ate pombears with lunch. Might be a coincidence but i did also wonder...
The 3rd one was fantastic!

spankhurst · 12/04/2017 22:26

I love it, am an East Anglian in my 40s. It's genius comedy. So close to reality it's painful, like This Country, which is also genius.

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 12/04/2017 23:45

I usually love it but I thought the one that was on tonight with the continuous phone calls was just prattling on for the sake of it.

Maudlinmaud · 12/04/2017 23:48

No way was that coincidence, either Kay is on here or his wife is.

FellOutOfBed2wice · 12/04/2017 23:53

I'm 31 and from London and one hundred per cent get it. Think it's brilliant.

SnowWhiteTan · 12/04/2017 23:57

'It's a car not a coaster' Grin

BackforGood · 12/04/2017 23:59

We were talking about this today. (Midlands). My 18 yr old thinks it's funny, but her cousins don't (19 + 21). All us parents seemed to like it though so might mostly be a generational thing.

ohtheholidays · 13/04/2017 00:04

I love it and I'm from the South and my DS18 loves it as well and the music is a definite bonus.

The80sweregreat · 13/04/2017 08:09

I really hope that Sian and Peter are mumsnetters - how good would that be..!
( they must be surely??)
One of the best things on TV just now -

QuizTeamaAguilera · 13/04/2017 09:48

The Lady Diana one from series 1 is my favourite, and Reece Shearsmith's character had me crying with laughter. I could watch that all day long.

Wasn't sure what to make of the final episode of series 2 (I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it) but I don't want it to be the final ever episode!

The80sweregreat · 13/04/2017 09:55

Quiz, odd ending ( i know i shouldnt watch them on i player , but its addictive tv!)
hope that there will be another couple to watch soon.

JacquesHammer · 13/04/2017 10:02

37 and a northerner but think it's crashingly dull.
