AIBU to think that some people just don't get it? It's been given some rubbish reviews in the press but it is bloody brilliant! Grin Grin Grin
Do you have to be in your 40"s & from up North to understand the jokes, radio adverts, music, relationships?

Has it been confirmed there won't be anymore?
They cannot do that, I need to know they end up together.

MissMogwi · 12/04/2017 10:20

We loved it and watched all four episodes on iplayer. I honestly think series 1 was a bit better but it was still really funny and sweet.

Another series now Peter please!! Especially after that finale!

honeyroar · 12/04/2017 10:20

I love it, I'm from up north and the right age though. I was shocked when someone from work posted on Facebook about how boring and unfunny it was. She's the same age and northern too. I just can't see what's not to like.

Fireinthegrate · 12/04/2017 10:26

Can someone explain the deal with the shaun ryder rehab centre? I must have missed something.

The episode about Kayleigh going dogging just has to be the best ever. Now my work colleague and I ask each other about dogging (we both have dogs) hilarious!

elodie2000 · 12/04/2017 10:29

Fire One of the street signs showed directions to the 'Sean Ryder rehab centre'
He's probably one of the last people a rehab centre would be named after! Grin

MrsJayy · 12/04/2017 10:31

There was a road sign directing you to the shaun Ryder rehab centre (not a real place) which is obviously Manchesters answer to the Betty Ford clinic Grin

elodie2000 · 12/04/2017 10:33

In other words, SR is not a great endorsement for rehab Grin

Maud There HAS to be another series! There just has to be! Sad

I'm Welsh (south) and 45 gives me the feels as much as "Gavin and Stacey" did!

Noticed a lot of Tesco product placement last night while watching all four episodes, lots of shots of Tesco Express stores while they were driving. I wonder if Tesco give them permission to film on their premises and they do that as a "return".

Anyway, brilliant!

littlepooch · 12/04/2017 10:40

I love it and I'm from london. Dh and I were both laughing away. It made me want to log straight onto iPlayer and watch the whole series!

SpreadYourHappiness · 12/04/2017 10:40

I love it and I'm Northern, but I am late twenties Grin

scoopmuckanddizzyrollytoo · 12/04/2017 10:41

Is this the second series? Is there any way I can watch the first??

elodie2000 · 12/04/2017 10:47

Series 1 Ep 4,5,6 are on Iplayer but not 1,2,3 Sad

OP posts:
Clawdy · 12/04/2017 10:48

It has earned him a Bafta, and also won best comedy at the National TV Awards, so it's obviously very well regarded. I'm not a big PK fan, but I love it.

Bellybootcut · 12/04/2017 10:49

I loved the bit after work when he was waiting for Kayleigh.
Get in, it's pissing it down ...not you love.

SpreadYourHappiness · 12/04/2017 10:49

scoopmuckanddizzyrollytoo They did put the first series up on iPlayer a couple of months back in preparation for the new series, but the first three episodes have expired now.

MrsJayy · 12/04/2017 10:54

Just want to say if anybody has seen all4 on iplayer dont give spoilers some of us are watching weekly, ta ☺

MuffinMad · 12/04/2017 10:56

The episode where they pick up Reece Shearsmith. How weirdly hilarious is that?

I watch the outtakes from that particular episode on YouTube. Makes me laugh every time!

Brilliant stuff.

forwardgoing · 12/04/2017 11:14

I've only seen the first episode of the second series and it left me in tears. I am a tough nut to crack but they managed it where many have failed.

I do hope the series isn't flogged to death though.

BitOutOfPractice · 12/04/2017 11:30

I want to watch series 1 again now.

I was so worried about how good this would be as I loved series 1 so much. But I was not disappointed.

Monsters in trucks Grin

Yukbuck · 12/04/2017 13:08

Omg I have now watched all 4. I will not give anything away but am also hoping for more episodes now!

BadKnee · 12/04/2017 13:18

Loved it - and I am a very ancient Londoner, so no, not necessarily a Northern thing. You need to be open to it though nad not looking for the instant joke or pc comment that makes you "laugh" in a self-congratulatory way that so much supposed humour is, ( and always has been)

TheFlyingFauxPas · 12/04/2017 13:24

I tried to be strong. Watched the other 3 episodes this morning 😶
Loved it. Hoping for a Christmas special 😉

PatButchersEarring · 12/04/2017 14:03

Maudlinmaud

I fancy PK loads!! Read Saturday Night Peter about 10 years back, and I think I may actually have fallen a little bit in luurrrve with him! Blush

WhiteCaribou · 12/04/2017 14:22

Is there anyone else who DOESN'T like it? I tried an episode and was just bored and irritated by it. I don't think I'm without a sense of humour, I like plenty of comedies but this just left me cold. I found the two main characters so dull and ordinary, just like listening to two randoms chatting at a bus stop.

I don't like Mrs Browns Boys either - obviously no hope for me Grin
