AIBU to think that some people just don't get it? It's been given some rubbish reviews in the press but it is bloody brilliant! Grin Grin Grin
Do you have to be in your 40"s & from up North to understand the jokes, radio adverts, music, relationships?

Aww yeah the fantasy scenes are so random but very funny.

LittleLionMansMummy · 12/04/2017 09:46

Yep, I love it too! And I'm in my (late) 30s and a southerner.

I think the chemistry between them is just wonderful. It makes me grin from ear to ear, a really gentle feel good comedy. Smile

Maudlinmaud · 12/04/2017 09:47

Elodie, MrsJayy, it's not something I'd admit in rl, what can I say, I like a man who makes me laugh Grin. I saw Kay interviewed as himself on something and he did not come across well, so that put me off him slightly. He is much better in character.

IsangforLadyArcher · 12/04/2017 09:49

Not a huge Peter Kay fan, nor Car Share either, and came on here expecting it to have been slated!! Now I can't wait to watch it later.......

Seeline · 12/04/2017 09:54

I love it too - I am the right age nearly 50 but definitely a southerner. Maybe I miss some of the jokes, but it is still one of the few programmes on TV that genuinely makes me laugh out loud.

MrsJayy · 12/04/2017 09:55

Well whatever floats your boat maud John is adorable

Corneliusmurphy · 12/04/2017 09:55

I love it! And come from London I recognise no where but it doesn't matter Grin
The dogging episode was possibly the funniest thing ever and no one else in my life had seen it! I nagged everyone till they caved and I could discuss its brilliance Grin

littlemissneela · 12/04/2017 09:56

I Loved it! (You have to say that with Kaylees voice Grin I am 45 and from the south, so not a northern thing. My dh is from oop north, so I do see if I can recognise bits and bobs.
When I saw Steve, I thought isnt that Guy Garvey? And it was! Brill! Saw the Shaun Ruder rehab centre sign too.
I am not watching the others, until they are on telly, and then I shall watch them all, back to back again.
So glad its back Smile

elodie2000 · 12/04/2017 09:57

maud I love his stand up, sketches & I absolutely love Car share but PK doesn't come across well in interviews or on chat shows.
He should just ditch them. He doesn't need to do them.

DH is from Birmingham via Dublin but mostly lived in Yorkshire until he moved to London 7 years ago. I'm from Plymouth via Rushden but have lived in London for last 30 years. We both love the programme.

As you can tell, we both have a really hard job answering the question 'Where are you from?' I tend to say 'I live in London' although I don't have a London postcode so that's a whole other thread

Princecharlesfirstwife · 12/04/2017 10:00

They filmed some of the second series just round the corner from where we live. Friends popped down to see the filming and apparently PK was absolutely delightful - he gave time for everybody individually (and judging by my FB feed there were loads of people).

DH and I loved last nights episode.

Hulababy · 12/04/2017 10:00

We love it here too - me and dh are both in our 40s and from Yorkshire so probably right for the suggested demographic. But Dd watched it with us last night and even at 15 she found it funny, and loved the music.

GetAHaircutCarl · 12/04/2017 10:01

I loved it!

TBH I thought the last series ended on the perfect note so I was a bit Shock when I saw it was coming back.

But it worked so well. All the warmth and generosity of spirit remains.

Great writing by two great comics!

Karanka · 12/04/2017 10:03

Saw the Shaun Ruder rehab centre sign too.

Doh! I didn't know if that was a joke or a real place!!!

Maudlinmaud · 12/04/2017 10:04

Episode 3 had me making a very strange sound, I was very amused.

MrsJayy · 12/04/2017 10:07

I think I read Peter Kay went to college with Sian Gibson so they have been friends years probably why it works so well

Snugglepalace · 12/04/2017 10:09

Best thing on TV. I love Forever FM. Love the views of the roads whilst they are travelling (although from Essex so don't know the Area), the advert for the TV show 'Miner Celebrities' made me chuckle. I think the fact that they are good friends in RL makes it so funny, I'm sure half the time they are laughing for real!

millifiori · 12/04/2017 10:09

I love it. DH is Manc and I'm Geordie. Maybe it is a Northern humour. We live in the South. DS was watching with us and asked if it was supposed to be funny.

millifiori · 12/04/2017 10:10

Sian Gibson is fantastic. I love her facial expressions.

youngestisapsycho · 12/04/2017 10:11

I'm a Londoner and love Car Share.... went to the Comic relief cinema thingy the other week and watched the first 2 new episodes and they had Peter and Sian doing a Q&A thing. It was hilarious, they showed some outtakes and deleted scenes too. I'm gonna have to watch the rest on iplayer tonight!

MrsJayy · 12/04/2017 10:12

HA miner celebrities Grin

2014newme · 12/04/2017 10:14

Binge watched all 4 last night.

Laughed till I cried at episode 3.
Don't think there will be another series.
Lobed the made up road signs "miner celebrities" 😂

Yukbuck · 12/04/2017 10:16

I love it too and I definitely don't fit the up north and 40s criteria. I'm nearly mid 20s and live in the south West. I loved the first series so much that I watched it about 3 times over 😀 didn't think the second series 1st episode lived up to it but 2nd episode is bringing it all back!! Love it

SometimesMaybe · 12/04/2017 10:18

I love it in the same way I loved Detectorists, very gentle and funny without being crude or shocking.

IAmAPaleontologist · 12/04/2017 10:19

Love it. Me and dh were giggling away last night. Only watched the first one, got to draw the pleasure out.
