So have just blown a gasket.
Worked this morning, now working at my laptop, presentations to prepare.
Can smell yummy smells downstairs. DH
Preparing lunch.
I nipped down and had a look.
Roast pork with all the trimmings.
I don't eat pork, however I would be fine with the veg and potatoes, maybe a few extra mushrooms or something.
Went back upstairs carried on with work.
Got quite bogged down with it, assumed lunch must be ready, went in to kitchen to find DH & the 2 teens who are home today clearing up. They had eaten the lot! Not even a potato left. I am so cross. I cook every day of the week for all of them, but today I was busy & not even offered lunch:(

It is our anniversary tomorrow, apparently he is playing golf.
I think I am being a mug

Rant over

OP posts:
allegretto · 11/02/2017 15:28

Wow I would be furious too. Next time you cook, make sure it's just for you. What was his excuse?

Pisspantspoor · 11/02/2017 15:29

Yep, git. What did he say?

OneWithTheForce · 11/02/2017 15:29

Shock that's really selfish. Surely you offer food to everyone in the house??

amysmummy12345 · 11/02/2017 15:30

What an arsehole! Having similar issues here....

Thattimeofyearagain · 11/02/2017 15:31

What the fuck did he say when challenged?

pinkiponk · 11/02/2017 15:33

That's unbelievable, has he always been selfish?

PastysPrincess · 11/02/2017 15:33

Bloody selfish shit!

NoFuckingRoomOnMyBroom · 11/02/2017 15:34

& what exactly were his reasons for not providing food for you?
Twat Hmm

Whatthefreakinwhatnow · 11/02/2017 15:35

I would be so upset, it's like he didn't even think of you Sad selfish prick!

What did he say in his defence when you called him out on it?!

JeNeBaguetteRien · 11/02/2017 15:35

That is so uncaring and disrespectful! What a twunt. I'd make tomorrow your last anniversary with someone so horrid.

InstinctivelyITry · 11/02/2017 15:37

Similar happened to me recently. I prepared a lovely curry... I was to have some when I got back from nightclass. Oh no. All eaten. (D)H blamed the kids. He asked if they thought I would want some. They'd said no. WTAF did he consult the kids? He's ex now. I'm sorry OP, that's shitty. Maybe go on strike rest of the weekend? .

NSEA · 11/02/2017 15:37

Unbelievable

user1486613612 · 11/02/2017 15:39

Perhaps he thought you didn't want anything as you don't eat pork and didn't show up at the table. Did you explicitly say you wanted the potatoes and mushrooms? And why do you cook for them every other day? I understand you're cross, but there might be time flew away, and they interpreted your departure to the laptop as a sign you simply didn't want to eat anything especially if it was pork and you don't eat it.

Ilovecaindingle · 11/02/2017 15:40

Order yourself a take away tonight. . And eat the bloody lot yourself. . And I hope you haven't bought him anything for tomorrow. If you have then take it back and spend the cash on yourself.

gamerchick · 11/02/2017 15:41

What did he say when you asked where yours was?

boredwithabrokenfinger · 11/02/2017 15:43

I would stop cooking for him from now on. No explanation.

endofthelinefinally · 11/02/2017 15:44

That is really nasty behaviour towards you OP. Sad
Is he unkind and selfish in other ways?
Never in a million years would DH prepare food for himself without asking me if/what I would like to eat. It is just basic manners.

AnyFucker · 11/02/2017 15:44

That is hard to believe

Rainydayspending · 11/02/2017 15:47

That is spectacularly rude.

PippiLongstromp · 11/02/2017 15:47

I would go ape shit if that happened to me! Please tell me you have made it clear how unacceptable and rude that was!? Meals next week should be just for you. Don't let them get away with this..

shovetheholly · 11/02/2017 15:48

That is seriously horrible! It sounds almost like he's punishing you for working.

Go out to a posh restaurant for lunch tomorrow with a friend and tell your DH he will be paying.

BlancheBlue · 11/02/2017 15:51

Sounds like he is a selfish idiot - leave

Badcat666 · 11/02/2017 15:54

What a twunt. I second taking yourself out (alone or with a friend) to a lovely posh place and stuff your face and make your selfish git to pay.

NarkyMcDinkyChops · 11/02/2017 15:56

What was his response when challenged?

I made a whole roast dinner a while back, had everything either ready or in the oven, timed for an hour or so, and said I was popping out and would be back when it was ready.
I come back an hour and ten mins later and dp and children were finishing their dinner, having served up 2o mins earlier! I was fuming. I'm suspecting the difference between that and the OP however is that it was a misunderstanding, there was some left for me, and it won't happen again after I said how pissed off I was.

ShoutOutToMyEx · 11/02/2017 15:56

I would be really upset by that. Didn't any of your kids ask him where you were and if you were eating? What did he say to them?
