So have just blown a gasket.
Worked this morning, now working at my laptop, presentations to prepare.
Can smell yummy smells downstairs. DH
Preparing lunch.
I nipped down and had a look.
Roast pork with all the trimmings.
I don't eat pork, however I would be fine with the veg and potatoes, maybe a few extra mushrooms or something.
Went back upstairs carried on with work.
Got quite bogged down with it, assumed lunch must be ready, went in to kitchen to find DH & the 2 teens who are home today clearing up. They had eaten the lot! Not even a potato left. I am so cross. I cook every day of the week for all of them, but today I was busy & not even offered lunch:(

It is our anniversary tomorrow, apparently he is playing golf.

Similar on a horrendous road trip years ago, 100s of miles, me driving, for a child's chess weekend. Half way through the journey, husband broke out sarnies for him and kids. Nada for me. Just did that pissed passive aggressive face at me when I laughingly horrifiedly complained. We are no longer together. Although we have since done similar road trips for uni excursions, I always supply food. He is not grateful. But at least I get to eat something.

Wow! This is the correct situation for fuming. I hope he pulled out all the stops and more for the anniversary after the best apology there ever was.

What a bunch of horrible selfish thoughtless cunts I wouldn't cook a single thing for any of them for the foreseeable might teach them a lesson and as for golf on your anniversary I would shove a golf club so far up his ass it would take a team of surgeons a week to remove it.

Your children are just as horrid as him. Did it not even cross their mind to think about their mother?? They've obviously been raised this way, by both of you. You aren't responsible for teaching your dh but shame on your children

Pretty unfair to assume the kids are awful. OP says she often isn't there or doesn't eat lunch with them at the weekend, maybe they didn't know she was there, maybe their dad said something that made them think it was fine.
No need to be dicks about the kids, its the OH that is at fault.

Can't believe that, how selfish of both Hubby and teens, did no one shout upstairs and tell you lunch was ready? Hope you're not cooking at all this week for any of them.
Think I'd cook something for myself and time it so I was just finishing as they all came in.
Use same excuse didn't think you'd want any.
