So...AIBU to think someone has put THEIR bullet in with my dress package from ASOS??!! Anyone else ever had this? I was trying on my new dress (which I love!) to find a mysterious object on my bed couldn't work out what is was as funny shape and then (which much fiddling and seeing batteries) I figured out its a bullet type vibrator!!! Confused at first I thought maybe it was a weird promo gift but on googling doesn't look likely! Yuck!!!

I'm just imagining the meeting to discuss this. I'd have to do a bingo card for that meeting! Grin

MaddieElla · 31/01/2017 13:56

Someone in packaging is about to have A Very Bad Day!

amusedbush · 31/01/2017 14:01

First of all, that dress is stunning and I wish I'd seen it before we eloped last spring, it would have been perfect.

Secondly, I'm guffawing at my desk over this thread - priceless!

bambisims · 31/01/2017 14:03

Thank you amusedbush! I love it, can't wait to wear it!

And yes I'm thinking someone is going to have a bad day, I feel a bit bad!!

Not as bad as they feel if it was a mistake and not an unfortunate prank! That is going to be one interesting meeting!

brokenheartdog · 31/01/2017 14:08

I also thought you meant ammunition. I bet someone in the offices is sat trying to think of how to compose a reply.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 31/01/2017 14:14

Blatant placemark.

ThaliaLuxurySpa · 31/01/2017 16:05

I think we all agree the entire thread is most stimulating...

MissVictoria · 31/01/2017 16:23

You're a better woman than me, dress would be well and truly sent back, no way would i ever wear something someones used vibrator had touched if it wasn't machine washable and everything it touched if not washable be thrown out!
I too thought by title you meant ammunition, i would have have actually enjoyed being sent an ammunition bullet in the post, they're intriguing.

amusedbush · 31/01/2017 16:29

MissVictoria

OP said that it didn't touch the dress - the dress was wrapped separately.

bambisims · 01/02/2017 12:54

Still waiting...I've sent another email asking for an update, explaining I think I've been very nice to to plaster the story all over their public page, hopefully that hurries them along Hmm

ICantThinkOfAUsernameH · 01/02/2017 13:40

That's mad it's taking so long for a reply. I agree you could make a lot of money selling the story to a paper/magazine

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 01/02/2017 13:52

They're really dragging it out now...

FerretChewToy · 01/02/2017 14:02

Don't mind me, just loitering in the corner waiting to see how this all works out!

twocockers · 01/02/2017 14:11

Not even going to pretend I'm not just place marking 🤣

Amithenormalone · 01/02/2017 14:47

Can't believe it's dragging out either although I suspect so poor persons been sat in front of a screen a fee days wondering how to word the next email haha.

DeepfriedPizza · 01/02/2017 15:57

Place Marking Grin

JackLottiesMum · 01/02/2017 17:07

The bigger question - sounds like you didn't see it come out of the package. Is there anyone else who has access to your house like a cleaner or flat mate?

bambisims · 01/02/2017 17:47

£15 good will voucher!!!!'

No Way!!! I've gone mad 😡

No I don't have cleaner/house mate so definitely came out of package!!

BillyButtfuck · 01/02/2017 17:59

How much was the dress OP?
That seems really shit considering.

ICantThinkOfAUsernameH · 01/02/2017 17:59

That's it?! Shock bloody £15 for all that palaver? You'd make more selling the story! not that I would or anything Grin

northernlites · 01/02/2017 18:06

They've only covered the cost of a new bulllet! Shock
How rude, they should pay for the dress at the very least!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 01/02/2017 18:10

Oh no, they're trying it on. Complain and use the words 'not happy' and 'disppointed.'

bambisims · 01/02/2017 18:11

£85! I've made that point, I've made lots of points about not going public, not returning dress despite fact I could have spent 85 on a dress touched by a used vibrator, I am an adult luckily but could have been a child or teenager etc. etc. I've suggest they talk to a senior member of staff before they get back to me....we'll see! £15 suggests they don't seem to see how disgusting and serious it is/could be!!! 😱

SuperFlyHigh · 01/02/2017 18:13

Well then go public!

Angry

That's really bad of them - shows they don't prioritise safety of customers re what was on the vibe (boak!) and their shipping depot must be lax.
