Just had month 6 of TTC and negative tests still 😞
I know 6 months is nothing really but it is just getting me so down now. I have other DC that were conceived within a month or two but this was from a previous marriage.

I think it just feels like a long time because it is never far from my thoughts. Just feeling really sad at the moment 😞

Second month with first dd (only had sex once that month though), straight away 6 years later with new DH but miscarried and then 4 months after that successfully with second dd. I used clear blue fertility monitor after mc and it at least made me feel a bit in control and highlighted that I didn't ovulate anywhere near day 14.

NappingRabbit · 24/11/2016 13:17

DC1 - 1 cycle
DC2 - 3 cycles

I appreciate I've been very lucky. Good luck!

Katedotness1963 · 24/11/2016 13:19

14 years. PCOS...

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 24/11/2016 13:20

Ds1 - 8 months (felt like forever)
Ds2 - 0 months, we weren't trying
Ds3 - 3 months

PinkyPie2012 · 24/11/2016 13:31

Got pregnant with my first while being on pill, so wasn't even trying. Thought I must be superfertile and will have no problem to get pregnant again. Took me 2 years to get pregnant with my second. No fertility issues, no treatments.

user1471433387 · 24/11/2016 13:37

Here's my normal story (so far as I'm only 4 months). After we got married stopped using condoms. I didn't track my ovulation or anything as I wanted to keep it relaxed and not worry too much. We had sex every other day for about 2 weeks in the middle of my cycle. I got pregnant after 3 months - missed my 4th period I believe. I still cried after every period. We actually conceived on holiday. Good luck x

Insertwitticismhere · 24/11/2016 14:05

Dd1 took 9 months which felt like a lifetime (though rationally I know that's no time at all in the grand scheme of things)
Currently 37 wks with dc2 who was conceived at first attempt. (Think dh had v mixed emotions as he was looking forward to trying hard ;) )

Mrsemcgregor · 24/11/2016 14:10

Contraception fail with DC1.

5/6 months with dc2 (felt like longer though)

Claireshh · 24/11/2016 14:13

1 pg - first month miscarried at 9 weeks
2 pg - 10 months. Ultrasound showed I had PCOS. Started metformin. Pregnant two months later. I used the Deanna plan (Google for details) and a fertility minitor to track ovulation.
3 pg - two months following Deanna plan and fertility monitor
4 pg - used fertility monitor of first month then miscarried
5 pg - left it to chance and fell pg again after a few months. Sadly miscarried again and gave up on a 3rd. Got a dog instead but feeling mega broody just now. Feel too old now I'm 40 and youngest is 5.5.

BigFatGoalie · 24/11/2016 14:17

DC1 - first month, straight away
DC2 - first month, but lost baby at 10 weeks
DC3 - 5 months after D&C
Currently 13 weeks along, have hardly told anyone because it's different after you lose a baby (for me it has been...)
Hope it happens soon OP, I understand the difficulty with it all being so out of your hands. It can be tough but it's still early days.

BipBippadotta · 24/11/2016 14:26

If the baby I'm currently carrying survives the birth, it will have been just over 5 years (including 1 full-term stillbirth, 4 first trimester miscarriages, and several cycles of failed fertility treatments) between starting TTC and having a living baby.

I was 34 when I started.

JustMarriedBecca · 24/11/2016 14:39

Both times first month but I was massively scientific about it and tracked my ovulation with cheapo internet sticks about 4 times a day (couldn't afford the branded ones). Would seriously recommend them from eBay. My friends used them too (similar obsessive method) and also fell pregnant first or second month.

Turned out I wasn't ovulating when my phone app said I was so they were brilliant. Only a few quid for 500

JustMarriedBecca · 24/11/2016 14:40

Am mid 30s by the way

RocketPockets · 24/11/2016 14:44

Took us 3 months... I wasn't on any hormonal contraception before and we stopped using anything after our June wedding, took us three months after that. I used an app to track ovulation, I had quite obvious ovulation as I cramped with it and my cm changed quite obviously sonit was quite easy to dtd at the right time
Good luck Smile

Spreadyourwings112 · 24/11/2016 14:44

1 day without contraception. Went back on contraception the next day but was already pregnant. This seems to run in my family and is not without its own issues (lots of unplanned pregnancies which have left some family members in really dire situations in the past). I really hope it works out for you soon and that you have plenty of support in the meantime

SittingAround1 · 24/11/2016 14:50

14 months. We were starting to worry we might have fertility problems but never got round to going to the drs. I tried the sticks a few times but never did manage to work out when I was ovulating.
It took us by surprise when it did happen.
Good luck - 6 months isn't very long.

Minispringroll · 24/11/2016 14:52

4 years...started ttc when I was 28 and had two ectopic pregnancies. Currently 37+4. Grin

notfromstepford · 24/11/2016 15:23

10 years for DS1 (was pregnant after 8 years but miscarried at 12 weeks.)
Started TTC when I was 27, he was born when I was 37.
DS2 - 1st month of trying and I was 40, 41 when he was born!

6 months seems such a long time when you're disappointed month after month I know the feeling only too well - it's really hard. Fingers crossed it'll happen for you soon.

KateyinBaku · 24/11/2016 15:31

3 months, miscarried at 8 weeks; 2 months, miscarried at 6 weeks; 1 month & that one stuck and I had DS. With DD, 6 months.

Crunchymum · 24/11/2016 15:32

DC1 was about 18m and 4 miscarriages

DC2 was the result of sex once in aprox 6 weeks.

eurochick · 24/11/2016 15:37

3 years and 4 rounds of IVF. No diagnosed problem but we got there in the end.

Catsick36 · 24/11/2016 15:41

After a 16 year gap it took us 2 years, acupuncture, clean diets, removing toxins. We had a bit of period sex one month and bam I was knocked up. Next time only a couple of months

Sallystyle · 24/11/2016 16:02

I have been incredibly lucky.

Three were conceived the first cycle. One was conceived on the pill and another was conceived with the IUD.

PipersPiping · 24/11/2016 16:10

One month for dd1, 3 years for dd2.

Viasabatthe2nd · 24/11/2016 16:14

7 years and Ivf!
