To think this kitten is BROWN!?

Ooh, my first ever AIBU, this is exciting.

Please help settle an arguement I'm currently having with DP. I know this kitten is a tabby, and therefore a bit multi-tonal, but if I would say he is definitely brown, where as DP swears he is grey!

I just don't understand how we can both be so certain!

So, which one of us is colourblind, and AIBU??

I'd say that is a mixed tabby. We have a brown tabby and a grey/white tabby, and yours is definitely somewhere in between the two!

OP your kitten is brown as he has brown leathers: Nose and paw pads are brown => Brown.

If his leathers were bluish in any way he'd be a blue, not a grey, so your DH is wrong on all counts!

I think he should make you a cuppa while you upload more pictures.

Lovely kitty. He looks very much like my boy did and he got darker as he got older - he's two now. His coat is brown and black, white bib and paws and the cutest little pink paw pads. And gold/green eyes!

Venusrising- I think it depends on if you're going on terminology or what colour it is to the eye. A white horse would most likely be called a grey. It's still white to look at.

I dont think he is brown. I'd just say tabby, but if pressed then I'd say gray tabby.

Aww cutie! I think with tabbys you can't say they are one colour, every angle is different! In some she looks grey and some she looks brown.. and in some she looks sandy blonde

I think brown tabby - he has peachy/gingery bits (nose!) and is predominantly brown. But I can see where your dh is coming from.
