AIBU?

To think this kitten is BROWN!?

Ooh, my first ever AIBU, this is exciting.

Please help settle an arguement I'm currently having with DP. I know this kitten is a tabby, and therefore a bit multi-tonal, but if I would say he is definitely brown, where as DP swears he is grey!

I just don't understand how we can both be so certain!

So, which one of us is colourblind, and AIBU??

I don't care - he's just utterly cute and I want to kidnap him!

There are colours on my tabby girl I find impossible to describe. It's like a tawny rich tea biscuit colour.

I'll tell you what he is,
HE'S ADORABLE.
runs over to OP's house, breaks in, sits upon sofa having cute kitten cuddles

I'd say a light caramel colour Grin

well, he is technically a grey tabby.
The grey refers to the colour of his stripes, which are black/dark grey

Most grey tabbies are beigey coloured under their stripes.

Very occasionally you come accross a grey tabby who is white under their stripes, and it is very stiking.

So you are both right, he is beige with grey stripes.
My cat is the same colour, and I would always refer to him as grey, even though I suppose the beige bit takes up more space!

He's both. Or a greyish brown or brownish grey. Like mushroom isn't really either. In the first picture he looks more grey, in the last more brown. Lighting will change perception.

I think he is more grey. His nose is brown, but his body grey.

Is there a special word for being broody for a cat? Because that's what I am.

Love tabby cats. Miss our dear old lady tabby, and would like to catnap Superaspie's boy.

Haha! He jumped in after I emptied it Lancelottie.
