AIBU?

To think this kitten is BROWN!?

Ooh, my first ever AIBU, this is exciting.

Please help settle an arguement I'm currently having with DP. I know this kitten is a tabby, and therefore a bit multi-tonal, but if I would say he is definitely brown, where as DP swears he is grey!

I just don't understand how we can both be so certain!

So, which one of us is colourblind, and AIBU??

MaddyHatter, he looks just like Sirius Black!

Our other two are ginger girls, Sunny and Cher.

He is both, more grey on his head and brown on the body.

he's tabby!

My girl is a tabby & white and i've never felt the need to decide if her tabby bits are brown or grey...

I think he's grey, according to the first two pics. The third pic shows him brown, though

He is lovely. Looks the same as my boy when he was young. He was a bit greyish but now he is fully grown he is a definite brown. I'd say ur boy is also brown

He's brown, grey tabbies (or silver tabbies) are like those from the Whiskas adverts (and incidentally are pedigrees and cost £££).

This kitten is clearly the blue/dress of the feline world.

Well, except calling grey cats blue isn't what we tend to do, is it? That's more for the cat fancier community or if a cat is a Russian blue, no? Most people I know struggle to grasp that a "stripey" cat is called a tabby, nevermind calling a grey cat blue.

He is a brown tabby. There is no such colour as gray or grey when it comes to cats it's blue. A blue tabby looks completely different x

The kitten is brown - lots of colours, but apart from any black and white bits, all the rest are in the "brown" palette rather than the grey one.

Like my cat who is definitely "a brown cat" and looks chocolate brown from a distance, but doesn't have a single brown hair on her body - she does have fawn, mink, beige, orange, yellow, copper, gold, black, white, and mushroom-coloured though, often mixed together at the level of individual hairs (or sharing a single agouti hair!).

The kitten is being unreasonable. No one should be that adorable, it's barely conceivable.

Take photos outside in daylight, then we can judge.. Other lighting will give a colour cast, eg tungsten lights will be orangey so will add to the brown-ness.

I always think tabby cats look a bit green. A bit like facial hair in the eighties.

It doesn't matter does it? As long as you love him. He is utterly adorable, that solemn little face....

I'd say charcoal and incredibly cute.
