To think that overheating does not mean she is in anyway unhealthy or unfit. New York can be very warm this time of year and it's only early September.

So many on Twitter questioning her health and whether that makes her good enough to be president. Tbh I would choose a brain dead Clinton over trump anyday. Good she's expected to be president not an Olympic athlete.

OP posts:

She is a criminal. And Trump is an idiot. America is well and truly fucked.

ToxicLadybird · 11/09/2016 18:16

My American friend tells me that this matters more in terms of American politics than it would in other countries because candidates are required to prove they are in good health before they stand. They have to submit some form of health assessment document. If she really is ill then that's the end of the road for her.

bakeoffcake · 11/09/2016 18:19

Poor woman!

All I know is her mental health is far superior to the other candidate. She HAS to win.

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 11/09/2016 18:19

It matters for the American voters and Trump will use it.
I think it's normal for American elections and it's not exclusively for Hilary.

I remember when one of the previous presidents had to go to hospital to have something removed, or something, Miles of coverage.

Horrible.

mayoress · 11/09/2016 18:20

Perhaps it's the menaupose.

whatishistory · 11/09/2016 18:22

She's 68. Very unlikely to be the menopause, I would think.

Surfingpig · 11/09/2016 18:23

You can twitch and jerk whilst fainting. That's perfectly normal.

I hope she is ok and that this doesn't become a focus of campaigning.

Helmetbymidnight · 11/09/2016 18:24

I don't understand why everyone gets so wrapped up in another country's election. USA is a democratic country and its of no one else's business who the people of that country decide to elect as their leader.

Stupid attitude.

perfumedlife · 11/09/2016 18:26

There's been speculation in medical circles for some time that she has Parkinson's and that the falls she was concussed from were as a result of that. Would fit with the chronic cough and zoning out episodes.

There was plenty of speculation about John McCain's health some years ago too. I doubt it's just because she is female. A tough job being the president in the best of health but surely impossible if suffering from something as serious as Parkinson's.

bevelino · 11/09/2016 18:27

I hope Hillary is ok as if Trump gets in his big unfiltered mouth will trigger madness and mayhem around the world.

honeysucklejasmine · 11/09/2016 18:29

Trump has made Hilary's health focus of his attacks lately. This will just give him ammo. Of course it doesn't really matter, but Trump is making it an issue.

WillyW8nker · 11/09/2016 18:30

You can dislike Hillary without being pro-Trump btw. I think she is an awful woman but I can't stand Trump. Feel very sorry for Americans they have the devil and the deep blue sea to choose from.

BigChocFrenzy · 11/09/2016 18:30

Rightwing conservative sites are whipping up the Clinton health scares, just like the "birther" campaign against Obama - they can't claim she is Kenyan, so this is their best shot.

There are many fake videos - edited to show her fitting - and fake medical reports circulating, some from deleted accounts:
www.vox.com/2016/8/18/12505078/hillary-clinton-health-stroke-conspiracy-fake

Some Republicans over the last decade seem to have decided they can't win a Presidential election on the issues, also can't disqualify enough low-income voters.
So they try to disqualify the Democrat candidate in whatever way they can

Mrsmorton · 11/09/2016 18:32

Gosh, if only our Drs were as efficient as Mars at diagnosing things from youtube videos, we'd hardly need any hospitals. Hmm

Very distasteful thread.

Trump forged a letter from a made up Dr to say that he was fit and well, so he's not really got a leg to stand on if he tries to get his claws in to this.

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 11/09/2016 18:32

I dislike her politics. She's far too aggressive for me.

Trump though, now that's disaster.I just don't understand how it came to this.

Mind you. I still can't come to terms with Brexit.
What's going on this year?

SymphonyofShadows · 11/09/2016 18:35

I had a similar thing when I was standing watching a gig this year. I have never been so scared but it was just so hot as I was surrounded by tall men, which seemed to suck the air out of the room. I couldn't focus and thought I was going to faint so I got out. Probably just in time. It took a long time and a lot of water to feel anywhere near normal. Lots of people were taken ill the same night.

Littlelondoner · 11/09/2016 18:36

Poor woman. People dropping like flies at kanye wests show last week. NYC is blistering hot at moment.

She was obviously exhausted and over heated. If anything shows her comitment to cause putting her own needs last.

I'd rather a Hillary with Parkinsons than Trump as president. Anyway, I really don't think she's stupid enough to run for the presidency with Parkinsons disease.

ToffeeForEveryone · 11/09/2016 18:44

She's 68, it's a hot day, she's wearing those clothes because she has another layer of body armour on every time she goes out in public, she's been standing for hours.

She must have felt quite unwell to have left early, so there is something to it. But it is entirely plausible that it is due to the particular circumstances, not a serious medical issue.

And, anyway, Trump's state of health is not enough to counterbalance his state of mind. God help us all if he gets in.

WinchesterWoman · 11/09/2016 18:47

She's pretty sick. She was tottering at the pavement and she virtually fell into the car. This fits with previous reports and videos and really is worrying. Unfortunately if she is show n to have lied about her health, what will happen then?

PigletJohn · 11/09/2016 18:47

Didn't Reagan get returned as President when he was suffering with dementia?

WinchesterWoman · 11/09/2016 18:47

Report on one of the networks (US) said it wasn't that hot of a day.

perfumedlife · 11/09/2016 18:48

She looks more than over-heated in this video. Whilst I'm definitely not a fan or the Clintons, I wouldn't wish such obvious ill health on her.

WinchesterWoman · 11/09/2016 18:49

On its own it's nothing. If there had never been anything else, it's nothing. But combined with everything else, it's something.
