To think that overheating does not mean she is in anyway unhealthy or unfit. New York can be very warm this time of year and it's only early September.

So many on Twitter questioning her health and whether that makes her good enough to be president. Tbh I would choose a brain dead Clinton over trump anyday. Good she's expected to be president not an Olympic athlete.

Donald Trump is the picture of good health. One only need look at his lush head of hair!

derxa · 11/09/2016 20:41

I hope Hillary is OK but she really isn't an admirable character. Anyone would be better than her or Trump. It's a fucking nightmare.

I find her an entirely admirable person. She was an academic and ambitious woman from the very beginning (see her speech at Wellesley as the valedictorian. She worked from day 1 of her marriage (during the Clinton governor years she earned more than him I believe). She reared a lovely daughter, kept her out of the limelight during her white house years - much like the Obamas - and managed to go on to have a career herself post white house which is an actual first for First Ladies.

She is being judged by so many double standards it is hard to get one's head around them. On the one hand the conservative right hate divorce. On the other hand, Mrs. Clinton forgiving her husband and staying with him is apparently unforgiveable and weak. On the one hand no woman who hasn't balls of steel and is prepared to play the US political game on its own playing field would get within an arse's roar of the white house but on the other hand Hillary Clinton should have been nice and accommodating and not tough at all in her race to the white house. Some race that would have been. There is so much misogyny in the coverage and attitude to Hillary Clinton.

As an american woman I am well past the point of thinking it is ok that we have not had a female president. That this is the first female to even RUN for president for a major party is pathetic. I am glad that Hillary Clinton had the toughness, the political connections and the grit to stay the course.

DivorceBadger · 11/09/2016 21:34

Agree canyou. And she's of the most honest politicians there is according politifact.com

Same for me.

I'm not sure Politifact is an entirely trustworthy source. In fact I'm sure it isn't.

PacificDogwod · 11/09/2016 21:57

I am in rude health.
I am a fair bit younger than Clinton.

I am very prone to fainting, always have been, I suspect always will be.
A humid hot day and standing a lot?
I'd be down like a bag of spuds.

I don't that that says anything at all about mine or Clinton's ability to run a country.
NB I am very much less likely to ever actually run a country than her Grin

DivorceBadger · 11/09/2016 22:02

I'm not sure Politifact is an entirely trustworthy source. In fact I'm sure it isn't.

Ah well then. I will ignore the website that is respected by and referred to both democrats and republicans and listen to internet random who declares they know better with nothing to back that up.

Viiolettheorgangrinder · 11/09/2016 22:34

Diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday apparently.

PacificDogwod · 11/09/2016 22:43

Yep, pneumonia, according to The Guardian

megletthesecond · 11/09/2016 22:53

Shit Sad . Hope she can still pull this off.

FannyFifer · 11/09/2016 22:54

A "frail" woman as she is being portrayed is not going to be elected as President, absolutely not a chance, so President Trump it is, bloody terrifying.

EnthusiasmDisturbed · 11/09/2016 22:59

there have been rumours about her health for sometime before her running for president and that of course Trump has used and will use to his advantage

Every movement every cough every roll of the eyes is going to be scrutinised because she has to prove not only can she do the job but a women can be president. Up against a man who is looking physically strong and gaining confidence by the day I hope once she has rested she comes back fighting she needs to

msgrinch · 11/09/2016 23:05

Disgusting thread.

Birdandsparrow · 11/09/2016 23:06

What's this about her"zoning out"

WinchesterWoman · 11/09/2016 23:06

Oh an internet randomSmile feeling a little touchy? Politifact liberal bias is documented. Of course you can trust who you want. Trust anybody you like - I think we all fall victim to confirmation bias and I'm sure you're no exception!

So pollen allergies (on a plane?) overheating..now pneumonia?

DotForShort · 11/09/2016 23:08

For Pete's sake, all the rumour mongering is absurd, not to mention tasteless. I'm a US citizen and I am positively looking forward to voting for Hillary Clinton. Not because I agree with her about everything. I don't. She's far too conservative for my liking (but then, so is Obama and I was thrilled to vote for him too). Frankly, the Democrats could have nominated a kangaroo and I would have voted for it. Trump is a terrifying candidate. Anyone with the slightest scrap of intelligence or imagination can see he would be a disaster in the White House.

Someone on Facebook wrote, "I'm not crazy about Hillary. But I'm not crazy." That sums it up for me.

GreatFuckability · 11/09/2016 23:09

Trump has intestinal issues that lead to shit spewing out of his mouth.

Grin Grin

WinchesterWoman · 11/09/2016 23:09

Msgrinch.. what is utterly vile I would agree is putting videos of her startle reaction on a loop. Disgusting response to a sick woman's medical episode.

msgrinch · 11/09/2016 23:14

All of it is disgusting and I cant imagine pp's or the people filming these videos liking it to happen to their mum/grandmas etc

GreatFuckability · 11/09/2016 23:15

winchester is not concievable that she thought the coughing was pollen related and now it seems it was something more? I had pneumonia once, 4 years ago. I just thought I had a stupid lingering cough and was being ridiculous. a chest x ray confirmed i had double pneumonia. it happens. it certainly doesn't stop your brain working or render you unable to do your job.

WinchesterWoman · 11/09/2016 23:18

No, it's not conceivable. She's had coughing fits for months and access to elite medical care. They would not miss pneumonia. And if they didn't miss it, and have only just revealed it, then there's been a lie somewhere.

EnthusiasmDisturbed · 11/09/2016 23:30

Of course they wouldn't have missed her having pneumonia.

Lets hops she gets the rest she needs because when she is debating at her best she will trash Trump in the tv debates and will need to win as many voters over as she can

EveOnline2016 · 11/09/2016 23:34

This thread has made me think.

Will people with mild disabilities or illnesses every get to be a country leader.

People shouldn't vote on Heath grounds but who is the better candidate to vote for.
