To ask what expensive thing you have which you think was well worth the cost?

I got my bugaboo out of the garage today. It's nearly ten years old and I'm giving it to my sister for her baby. I can't believe what good nick it's in. Everything fabric wise can be washed, I've ordered one new wheel and tilt buttons because they were a bit dodgy but everything else is perfect. I've also ordered a new mattress obviously. I think it's fab that you can go on the bugaboo site and order parts for something nearly a decade old.

What do you have that was expensive but so so worth it.

Our bugaboo (nearly 12) seemed horrifically expensive at the time but has done the business for 5 babies now and still going strong, with a few tyre replacements.

Our tent - DH thought I had lost the plot when I bought it - an outwell that cost double the price of the vango equivalent. We've had 10 summers of heavy use out of it. But we might need a new one next year.

My omega constellation watch, £4,500 with my first bonus, worn every day for 4 years and still looks new. My pride and joy

The fancy car seat that cost £250. But every time I swivel it I smile. Probably works out at a penny per smile over the 3 years it's done us so far

My Dyson fan. It was really painful to spend over £100 on it, but it is quiet, has a brilliant timer, and allows me to sleep in the summer heat!

CaitAgusMadra · 10/09/2016 17:54

Similar to PP my Dyson cordless vac. Used at least 3 times a day (small kids)

edwinbear · 10/09/2016 17:54

Paintings! I get a little thrill every time I walk into a room and see one! Love the process of looking for and buying them too. A very expensive and addictive hobby.

LeaveMyWingsBehindMe · 10/09/2016 18:01

I love my iphone 6. It's the first one I've ever had after years of not really caring about phones but having owned one now I would never go back.

I also LOVE LOVE LOVE my Elemis cleansing balm. It cost a fortune but it has lasted me ages and ages and it smells divine. It makes me happy every time I use it.

My Tempur mattress.

My £35 silk pillowcase. I have yet to see whether it will make me less wrinkly as promised but it feels wonderful against my face at night.

Sgtmajormummy · 10/09/2016 18:02

My Full Monty matching porcelain dinner service that I bought recently. It was second hand, never used and the seller turned out to be divorcing and selling off her wedding list, unfortunately. Anyway, she got rid of it and I was willing to pay, so win-win.

It's a complete indulgence and I'm the only one that appreciates it. I know the food doesn't taste any better but I believe it enhances my daily life.

LeaveMyWingsBehindMe · 10/09/2016 18:03

oh yes, I love my Dyson cordless vacuum as well. It won't stay charged long enough to do much, but it's great for using in quick bursts. So light and easy especially on stairs.

whywonthedgehogssharethehedge · 10/09/2016 18:05

My PC. No regrets. So shiny...

onemouseplace · 10/09/2016 18:07

Our Weber gas BBQ. We dithered for ages about spending that much, but it has been worth every penny. We use it loads and it is so easy to clean.

honeylulu · 10/09/2016 18:07

Mason Pearson hairbrush. I will never go back.

hungryhippo90 · 10/09/2016 18:08

My make up kit.it's Christian Dior in its entirety. I spent well over £1000 on the products that are in it, it makes me feel much better about myself.
That is the only vaguely expensive thing I can say I currently own.

Cary2012 · 10/09/2016 18:09

Toffeelatteplease, I love my Kickers! Ten years old and look like new! Love 'em!

My Persian Blue puddy cat.
