I got my bugaboo out of the garage today. It's nearly ten years old and I'm giving it to my sister for her baby. I can't believe what good nick it's in. Everything fabric wise can be washed, I've ordered one new wheel and tilt buttons because they were a bit dodgy but everything else is perfect. I've also ordered a new mattress obviously. I think it's fab that you can go on the bugaboo site and order parts for something nearly a decade old.

What do you have that was expensive but so so worth it.

Ron, thank you

ghostyslovesheep · 10/09/2016 19:07

Walking Flowers

My TV - it's smart and I love all the channels and things (watching youtube when pissed on the big screen!)

I also had a Bugaboo and it was lovely

CrotchetQuaverMinim · 10/09/2016 19:07

My aveda shampoo is expensive but makes a bit difference.

GTech vacuum cleaner.

My iphone, even if it is very old now.

My musical instruments, cost me a fortune but I am enjoying learning to play.

I'm really hoping someone is going to come on and say that they absolutely adore their exorbitant Dyson hair dryer, and that it's the best thing every for frizzy, sort of curly, thick hair and it turns into Kate Middleton's hair every day. Anyone?

Housewife2010 · 10/09/2016 19:08

Sorry to take over the thread but I adore my antique super kingsize bed too and my kitchen aid. All the things are expensive but fantastic quality and many years later I still love them all!

ghostyslovesheep · 10/09/2016 19:08

Oh yes and GHD's - splurge buy 11 years ago and now my teenagers use them!

Olympiathequeen · 10/09/2016 19:09

Lens implants for my eyes.

All my life wearing thick glasses. Unable to see without them.

A 30 minute operation 5 years ago and I have perfect vision, possibly for life.

Worth every penny of the £5K.

HomeShapedBox · 10/09/2016 19:09

My big flatscreen tv. Worth every penny

MozzchopsThirty · 10/09/2016 19:10

My mulberry handbag (mini Bayswater)

I sued the nhs for medical negligence, it took almost 5 years and I promised myself I would treat myself to it if I ever won

It is my most prized possession, but I hardly ever use it because I love it so much Blush

MozzchopsThirty · 10/09/2016 19:11

Am v v v jealous of those with dyson fans, this would make me very happy

ihatethecold · 10/09/2016 19:12

Bose wireless speaker
Long winter Barbour coat.
My beloved dogs.
One was £££ to buy as a puppy.
The other one was a rescue from Spain that we bought over, then we spent 3K getting her leg repaired.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 10/09/2016 19:13

My le Creuset pan. It looks as good as new after 10+ years... Other wannabe pans look dreadful in comparison (though in their defence, they do cook the food perfectly well)

Paddingtonthebear · 10/09/2016 19:16

My Omega watch
Our wool duvet

PickAChew · 10/09/2016 19:18

My ruark audio stereo. It's beautiful to look at and sounds wonderful.

mathanxiety · 10/09/2016 19:18

My flat. The rent makes my eyes water but it is worth it and actually it's a bargain for the area.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 10/09/2016 19:18

My dog, £800 but he's brought such a lot of love to our home.

derxa · 10/09/2016 19:19

My sheep. They're my life.

Togaparties · 10/09/2016 19:19

My car wax of choice. £2.50 per ml but worth every penny!

RoosterCogburn · 10/09/2016 19:20

My new settee, after twenty five years of sitting on my parents or inlaws cast offs which were perfectly serviceable but not to my taste we finally splurged on a beautiful, new, expensive (to us) three piece suite.
It changed the whole look of our living room because it was the right one for the room and it is incredibly comfortable. Makes me smile everytime I walk in and sit down.

HomeShapedBox · 10/09/2016 19:21

Also, my Sealy king size bed, soooo comfortable

ElspethFlashman · 10/09/2016 19:21

My Louis Vuitton weekend luggage bag bought with a work bonus about 10 years ago. Its called a Carryall and basically fits your essentials + change of clothes and toiletries + ipad. And maybe one pair of shoes.

Have used it on every single trip since, every wedding weekend, every visit to the ILs, and every plane ride where it served as my cabin bag. It's as good as new, not a single scuff.

It was €750 back then but is very low on cost per use now. And best of all, I can hand it down to one of my kids!

TheWhompingWilly · 10/09/2016 19:27

My super comfortable Hypnos bed.

My Wolffepack rucksack. I almost didn't buy it because of the price but I love way you can wear it back or front, without taking it off.

Clarins handcream. No other is anywhere near as good.

Costacoffeeplease · 10/09/2016 19:29

Kitchenaid
Bose Bluetooth speakers
Swimming pool
Raymond Weil watch - cost four figures but still looks as good as new nearly 20 years later

QueenofLouisiana · 10/09/2016 19:31

DMutt- free (re-homed), but has cost thousands in vets fees. Every time I see her I know it was worth it.

Coffee machine and grinder- amazing coffee in a couple of minutes, saves a fortune on pods and take outs.

Insabbathstheatre · 10/09/2016 19:32

My thermomix - even DH who was a bit 😮 when I first told him the cost now thinks it was money well spent - we use it practically every day and still the love grows!

bostonkremekrazy · 10/09/2016 19:32

My DD, our only birth child. Cost £50k and 12 years of IVF. Simply Delightful.
Our adopted children are just as scrummy, but without the ridiculous pricetag!
