What do you like about yourself?

Following on from another thread which I found quite upsetting I thought it would be nice to say something positive about yourself.

I have really good skin and people often think I'm younger than I am. I also think I am a nice person with good morals.

I have a great arse.

Great in the same sense as the Great Barrier Reef, meaning massive, but it's nevertheless spectacular.

I am very attached to it.

MurunB Might sound like a stupid question, but I gave my arse as the thing I didn't like on the last thread.

I was always told I wouldn't be loved/wanted for many reasons, that being one of them. Has it ever been an issue for you?

I have very blue eyes, they're nice :)
I'd also like to think I'm quite witty and personable.

I don't take any shit from anyone, if someone is treating me poorly then unless it's a one off with someone I have known a while , I generally just walk away, and it's taken me a long time to get to that point, in the past I would just assume it was all MY fault.

I like to think that I set high standards for myself, and the higher the standards I set the higher my self esteem, the higher my self esteem the more I maintain my standards.

It's a 180 from what I used to be like though so I'm proud of that.

It bothered me a bit when I was younger because I'm otherwise quite small and slim, so I look a bit like a centaur and I thought I looked odd. No one has ever been so rude and unpleasant to me as they seem to have been to you though. Those people sound horrible! I hope they don't still affect you?

I am more comfortable in my own skin now so have accepted it and quite like it, even though trousers never fit right!

MurunB I'm not sure I'd have ever thought too much of it if my mum hadn't made such a big deal of it.

Other people have commented, but I couldn't even tell you if everyone was being unpleasant or not. I don't think I'm capable of hearing compliments, tbh!

I'm a HCP so obviously I'm very kind, compassionate, caring and look good in my uniform

Not a lot. Physically I look like I'm assembled from a spares bin of left over, body parts. Short arms and legs, big feet and head, mismatched ears and bad skin.

Although I do have nice coloured eyes, although I have heavy lids and wear glasses so few people get to see them. I have a thick head of hair and no sign of balding or going grey.

I've been pretty crap at most of the jobs I've had and can be excruciatingly shy in company.

I look young. I'm only 26 but I often get mistaken for a lot younger. Hopefully this will continue into my 30s and 40s.

I care about others. I'm very independent and I'm good in a crisis. I also have nice eyes (they're really bright green).

I don't like a lot about myself at present but I do like my hair. I don't really do much with it apart from straighten it occasionally - most of the time it's scraped back into a bun. But it's thick without being too thick, shiny and soft. My hair dresser always comments on how lovely my hair is and what good condition it's in too, gives me a boost.

This is difficult today. Can't think of any particular stand out talents or character strengths but l usually manage to do ok at most things, so good breadth/balance perhaps??

I'm very motivated. If a job needs doing, I'll do it. I always have a project on the go!
