Welcome to the twelfth (it DOES look a weird word ) thread that nobody responds to! We're a fun bunch, the most fun on mumsnet!! I cba to list everyone and who they are, but I'm sure newbies will get to know us through our posts A couple of quotes from posters, which will have to do as opposed to me writing a description of everyone:

Good for you, Red! It is so common for bystanders to just get paralysed with horror and watch as tragedy plays out right in front of them. Thank god are are some people who will just get stuck in and save the save the day!

It's scary ain't it peach. The mother of the first girl couldn't thank me enough. She was crying her eyes out and have me a hug! They'd just arrived at the hotel so the little girl didn't know how the pool was depth wise. And just wondered in. I spotted her bobbing and leapt of my lounger (I don't do pools!)

When we were away there were 4 adults and 5 kids. I knew where each kid was when pool side at all times. And after the incidences I felt like I was watching the whole pool and all its occupants!!!

That's actually one thing I hated about the cruise, I couldn't get a sun lounger near the pool so every time the DSs wanted to swim I either had to go in with them (bloody freezing salt water) or sit on the side of the pool. But there were LOADS of kids that didn't have parents with them. And it only takes a second for them to get into difficulty, or the ship swaying causing violent waves in the pool!
