Firstly I am going to get these pictures deleted after a while as it's very embarrassing.

Ive always hated my ears. They are a weird shape. One is slightly better than the other as you can see from the pictures.

I debated for years before getting my ears pierced.

if you had these ears, would you seek correctional surgery?

Are they very unsightly?

I mostly wear my hair down.

Please be honest!

I wonder if this kind of surgery is even possible?

Thanks for reading.

I'm aware that there are more important things and that my hearing is perfect so I'm really lucky but... Sad

No way! Your ears look perfectly fine!!

nennyrainbow · 16/08/2016 16:41

They look completely normal to me! Admittedly, I can only see half an ear on the right hand enlarged photo but what I can see looks fine. Honestly.

ChestyNut · 16/08/2016 16:42

They look fine to me. I presume your unhappy with the outer shell bit?
I was born with a funny ear, looks like I've had an earring ripped out. Doesn't bother me, just one of those things that makes me, me.
If they really bother you maybe see GP for advice? But no if they were mine I wouldn't seek surgery,

LyndaNotLinda · 16/08/2016 16:43

Honestly? I think they're really pretty and delicate.

EarryMcCleery · 16/08/2016 16:43

rainbow that's all there is to my left ear Sad

It's like the top of it was sliced off. It wasn't, but that it looks like.

It looks perfectly normal to me! I'm not quite sure what we're meant to be looking at.

MidnightVelvettheSixth · 16/08/2016 16:43

Hi, if I had your perfect hair & skin then I would not give a fuck about my ears :)

The right one is fine, the left one is also fine, if you want surgery to improve your confidence & self esteem then go ahead but I honestly don't think they are unsightly ...

Flappyhat · 16/08/2016 16:43

Your ears look fine and normal to me. Am I missing something?

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 16/08/2016 16:43

I cant see anything unusual about your ears?

ImperialBlether · 16/08/2016 16:43

Unless someone has their hair cropped, I rarely notice anyone's ears. What do you want done to them? They look fine to me.

witsender · 16/08/2016 16:44

Nope, I wouldn't Smile

Gatekeeper · 16/08/2016 16:44

they are lovely...like little shells

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 16/08/2016 16:45

No I wouldn't have surgery and if I saw you close up I really, honestly wouldn't have noticed your ear.

Stevefromstevenage · 16/08/2016 16:46

I think because it is your flaw it is noticeable to you but I can honestly say if I met you in person that would not cross my radar. I had one of those flaws growing up so I get it but no one ever mentioned mine either.

8angle · 16/08/2016 16:46

they look lovely - i would definitely not have surgery!

I know what you mean but they are fine. I have always understood why people get their ears pinned back (I know a lad who did as he got teased at school and did look better afterwards) but in your case I wouldn't do anything especially as you wear your hair down. I bet no one even sees them.

DietCockBreak · 16/08/2016 16:47

Your ears are fine, no way I'd have surgery for that (and I've had surgery for other stuff).

OreosAreTasty · 16/08/2016 16:47

Wouldn't even notice tbh.

EarryMcCleery · 16/08/2016 16:48

The top bit, in most people's ears is rounded, however mine is pointed.

I am really paranoid about it. If I wear my hair up I feel it's the only thing people notice.

I really want people to be honest as in real life if I ask anyone they say my ears are fine. I don't see how anyone can look at them and not see the slanted bit. I'm probably much more aware than other people of them though.

Hockeydude · 16/08/2016 16:49

Honestly, I would never think of it ever again. They are not remotely unsightly. In fact, they look pretty, as does your hair.

GodImbored · 16/08/2016 16:49

I can see it but I probably wouldn't look twice if I saw you with your hair up. It's such a minor thing.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 16/08/2016 16:49

DPs are like that with no "rim" at the top, I always thought it was one of things like whether or not you can roll your tongue, as opposed to some sort of dreadful deformity.

Honestly OP, I very much doubt that anyone would give your ears a second thought.

A quick Google suggests that in the US at least, it is a very common "corrective" surgery.

I didn't even notice and I was looking on purpose!

Absolutely nothing wrong with those lug holes. Flowers
