I don't really talk about money to anyone in real life, other than my DM and DP.

I'm being nosy, I know but a few numbers aren't going to out me!

I get paid on Friday so I currently I have £5.54 in my account and £15k locked away in ISA's and Bonds.

How much do you have in the bank?

I thought we were doing well (spent most of my life with next to nothing) but some of the amounts here are staggering! DP and I are early 30s and have never been given money by relatives (well maybe £20 for a birthday but not thousands!). Are those with loads older or people who inherited a lot?

£100 in my current account. £3000 in ISA. £700 in almost 3 year old ds savings account.

That's all I have. Don't own property, no other assets.

ampersandand · 01/06/2016 20:31

£900 in joint account for bills
£190 available in current account but -£310 into the over draft,
dh has £120 and there's £580 in savings from tax credits which will have to be paid back when they recalculate.

ceeveebee · 01/06/2016 20:32

This is a scammer's dream - why would you put this online, especially as mumsnet is not exactly the most secure site. Sincerely hope you have different passwords/user names on your online banking!

WalkingBlind · 01/06/2016 20:32

My current account -£180(ish) but my overdraft is only 200, so about £20 of not-my-money. Get £80 on Monday but a load of bills renders it not-spendable and then paid £340 the Friday after that but I'll be deep in overdraft due to all my outgoings by the end of the day. No savings.

And that is a permanent state for the past few years ConfusedBlush (Because "us lot" scrounging on benefits are minted from the tax payers clearly lol)

Kikipie · 01/06/2016 20:33

We're in our 50s - haven't inherited from parents, 3 out of 4 are still alive and there may be an inheritance in future but obviously it isn't guaranteed

We own our property outright, and have a holiday let, looking after it and the rentals is my job really

Fluffy40 · 01/06/2016 20:35

About 5k at the moment , just been paid

IWasHereBeforeTheHack · 01/06/2016 20:37

Not enough to retire on, but enough to be able to save a bit and still feel comfortable and not worry about having to replace the washing machine, or even a car, tomorrow. We are lucky.

HoldTheDoorHodor · 01/06/2016 20:38

Not a lot. All our savings are tied up in the flat we let out. The rest is spent every month as we renovate our home.

HappiestMummyAlive · 01/06/2016 20:39

Scammers? You mean a hackers dream? Someone very close to me used to be a hacker up until their mid 20s, and it is NOT as easy as you think.

SpaceUnicorn · 01/06/2016 20:40

£10k I could access instantly, spread across 3 accounts.

About £15k I can't access so easily.

crazywriter · 01/06/2016 20:42

1.4k in joint account
£48 in own account (just for tax credits for nursery fees)
£2k in joint savings
1k in own savings
£200 in Xmas savings (we put 50 s month in between Feb and Oct for presents and food. DD and DH birthdays in Jan so it also helps with that)

SpaceUnicorn · 01/06/2016 20:43

How would anyone use a mumsnet username to clear out someone's bank account? Confused

OublietteBravo · 01/06/2016 20:44

I've got about £45k in savings at the moment (not including my pensions), although quite a lot of it is tied up in medium-term or long-term investments. I could liquidate around £15k relatively easily if needs be. DH has a similar amount of savings in his name.

ImNotDancing · 01/06/2016 20:44

SpaceUnicorn wait, you mean thats not the name on your bank account?!?! 😂

Flashbangandgone · 01/06/2016 20:45

No one is boasting, money is not everything, I was extremely unhappy until I had children, it's just a few numbers in a bank account.

Oh come on... Of course it's boasting when you post that you have hundreds of thousands squirreled away in an account, with your kids have £50k each. If you want to boast then fine, least have the self-awareness and honesty to admit it! If you had a couple of hundred in the bank would you honestly have been so quick to post?

And besides to say your money 'is only some numbers' is crass and rather insulting to those with very little!
