Seems not only to be strongly arguing that all PIV is necessarily rape, but is incredulous that a feminist could think differently! AIBU to think this is bonkers or has the virtually the whole population of women (who don't think this way) just been brainwashed?!

I didn't read the blog. Maybe this woman is bonkers.

But it does make you think about PIV and the different effects of it on men and women. PIV can make you pregnant. that is a big deal. If you can get your O another way why wouldn't you? And keep PIV for actively TTC.

PIV does suit men better than women. And that is what we tend to think of as proper sex, not all the other things that can be/are more pleasurable for women and infinitely safer.

Dworkin doesn't, I think, say 'PIV is rape' in the way people think she did. If I understand her rightly, she's talking about the fact that even when you're having (straight) sex, you're part of the dynamic that exists everywhere, where men have the power and there is an expectation of male dominance.

I don't think she is saying 'eugh, horrible, PIV!' so much as thinking about the way that even personal relationships don't happen in a vacuum.

To use a common MRA tactic...there is no evidence it was written by a woman.

there was a post the other day by a woman who clearly thought that the only real sex was when a man ejaculates ( he was a bit slow in that regard, but she asserted their sex life was mutually enjoyable)

and she was supported in that viewpoint by several respondents

and the people me who raised the question "why is the man not ejaculating a problem when you are having good sex, regardless" had to weather the usual accusations of man hating

Extreme definitely, but the post had the support of all the comments... Even those that disagreed with parts of the post seemed to agree largely with the main premise... So to me, it seemed to be a movement rather than simply the views of a single crazy individual!
