To ask what you had for dinner?

I cook, DH cleans. Every morning I ask him what he'd like for dinner and he always says he doesn't mind. I enjoy cooking and am happy to spend time preparing something nice but I'm out of ideas and bored of cooking the same kinds of things so am looking for inspiration.
Tonight I made sweet and sour chicken and noodles. What did you have?

Takeaway pizza, red wine

1northernfairy · 15/05/2016 08:31

We had sweet potato and pearl barley risotto.

Trying to eat up the crap from the cupboards. It got the thumbs up from DP and then I told him that the pearl barley had expired in 2010- I shit you not!

Cereal

We were out for a big Sunday roast at lunchtime tho.

NatashaRomanoff · 15/05/2016 19:37

BBQ pulled pork in brioche rolls with homemade wedges, corn on the cob and coleslaw. Bloody lovely! And there's enough pork left for lunch for at least two days. Winning!

Heyheyheygoodbye · 15/05/2016 19:37

Cured salmon with sugar snap peas and baby corn again, and a baked potato.

But let me tell you about the macaroni and cheese we made last night, which contained double cream and four different cheeses and bacon lardons and was topped with a Parmesan crumb. Only fifteen thousand calories a bite and incredibly delicious. We had the leftovers for lunch Grin

Chicken casserole (onions, celery, leeks) with oven chips and broccoli.

DH chose vegetables poorly this week so the carrots and green beans didn't survive to be in and with the casserole respectively.

I love threads like this when I'm meal planning Grin

Tonight is chicken in a white sauce with rice and peas mixed in. Total nursery food but it's comforting and it's what I want.

Mominatrix · 16/05/2016 17:15
