To spend £1000

Jaimx86 · 27/03/2016 21:21

I want a luxury spa and Michelin star restaurant for me and my DP. Live in the Midlands, so open to a lot of areas.

Looked at The Priory in Bath and The Grovesnor in Chester so far. I want utter decadence, but not sure whether these places will offer that. Upto £1000 for two nights.

Am I asking too much for the cost?

Bitchiness of super poor women

How long til the schools go back?

Orwellschild · 27/03/2016 23:07

Maui is looking nice. Give the super successful events company ceo a call - maybe you could do a Frozen double act together

DiscoGlitter · 27/03/2016 23:07

I came onto the thread, read your OP, and then the subsequent replies and was about to reply in your favour with some sensible suggestions as just because you have £1000 to spend on a couple of nights doesn't mean you're being goady or out for a fight.
THEN I read the "poor people" comment and changed my mind as you're clearly just someone out to wind up or bored 'cos it's the Easter school holidays. Biscuit

Jaimx86 · 27/03/2016 23:12

Sooo. Can anyone actually help. Would stretch to £1200'if place was spectacular.

PurpleDaisies · 27/03/2016 23:16

You're not planning on apologising for your earlier comments then? Hmm

SoThatHappened · 27/03/2016 23:16

You are so rich and classy you surely know exactly where to go already instead of asking poor women.

Duck90 · 27/03/2016 23:17

What is the question? Are you asking that the price of £1000 won't give you a decadent weekend or that it is over priced?

RedToothBrush · 27/03/2016 23:18

Maui is so last year.

ijustwannadance · 27/03/2016 23:18

Go ask your rich friends. If you have any with your attitude.

SoThatHappened · 27/03/2016 23:18

Yeah I think we all know a great place called FOTTFSOFATFOSM.

It is truly spectacular.

Ememem84 · 27/03/2016 23:19

Bohemia and the club hotel/spa in jersey.

CreepingDogFart · 27/03/2016 23:20

Blackpool

SoThatHappened · 27/03/2016 23:21

Nah Blackpool is too upmarket. How about Slough.

Ememem84 · 27/03/2016 23:21

The hotels nice the spas great and the restaurant is lovely. Def 1 Michelin star. Maybe 2.

And with flights for a weekend it'll definitely cost you £1000.

I went a few weeks ago for lunch as its near my work. Posh fish finger sandwich. Posh arctic roll and a glass of wine. Yum.

PurpleDaisies · 27/03/2016 23:23

We had a nice weekend in Skegness once. It might be a bit expensive though-£30 per night including full English breakfast.

CreepingDogFart · 27/03/2016 23:23

Fish finger sandwiches...?

Jaimx86 · 27/03/2016 23:24

So only a few can help then. Why have so many responded? Question was pretty clear. Those that have helped, thanks. It's quite s big task.

OP posts:
ghostyslovesheep · 27/03/2016 23:24

£1200 for 2 nights luxory (sic) is hardly decadent - decadent is spending that on your bar bill

I'm sure you can find a nice middling spa for that though - try Hore-cross Hall or Champneys Hmm

glasgowlass · 27/03/2016 23:25

bitchiness of super poor women

Pippa...is that you?

PurpleDaisies · 27/03/2016 23:26

So only a few can help then.

We're all super poor you see.

SoThatHappened · 27/03/2016 23:26

Is this a wind up or does she really not get it?

OP you were bloody rude and no one wants to help you.

Go and ask your rich friends instead insulting people on here calling them super poor.

How dare you.

Jaimx86 · 27/03/2016 23:26

Emem.,,, where? If I can be back for Xmas will travel further.

OP posts:
CreepingDogFart · 27/03/2016 23:26

It's not really a big task is it- booking a hotel for one or two nights.

ExasperatedAlmostAlways · 27/03/2016 23:28

It really fucking isn't a big task. Stick it in bloody Google yabu we aren't a bunch of fucking travel agents.

Shakey15000 · 27/03/2016 23:29

Am I the only one imagining the "super poor women" comment being surrounded by a "Golly gosh dhalink..." and perchance being slightly muffled by the masticating of a Ferraro Roche?
