I didn't mean to! We were just on our way to go and look at wallpaper (exciting I know) and there was a little gallery and I suggested we have a look and...

...a handshake and a discount later, I LOVE it.

AIBU to ask what you have on your walls?

It reminds me of Cassandra from Dr Who, but you obviously love it OP!

We have lots of oversized mirrors in our house, and a couple of 'pieces' from an artist friend. A few photographs in the hallway, and a long narrow canvas print over the bath.

Oh and a limited edition pencil drawing from MiL.

All those eyes! It would give me the heebie jeebies Grin.

My walls are bare, we rent so can't do anything with them.

VertigoNun · 19/03/2016 17:50

It looks fun.

pandarific · 19/03/2016 17:52

It's a bit lost in the pic here to be honest - it's lovely watercolours and ink on thick paper, so it looks so pretty IRL!

Grin at all the eyes being creepy. But they're pretty eyes!

The artist is brilliant - these are some more of hers. Her name is Bridget Davies.

I've got a massive touchscreen hyperlink to the MN chat forum on my lounge wall.

BikeRunSki · 19/03/2016 18:01

Its a bit freaky! I have a large mirror with a stained glass skyline of NYC that DH's auntie made me for my 40th, then promotional posters for various cycling events and art exhibitions we've been to, all professionally framed.

My pride and joy is an original Peter Blake watercolour, of an illustration from his illustrations for Alice Through the Looking Glass.

Upstairs I have some travel style posters of local landmarks by this very talented artst.

QueenofLouisiana · 19/03/2016 18:07

We have this, it belonged to my grandmother and I always remember it hanging in her house. The artist is quite well known. If you're familiar with the North East of England you might recognise the view.

I love it and painted the walls a colour to complement it.

A portrait of my daughter by a local artist - Paper Doll Studio

This isn't her but it's by the same artist, it's very little and so delicate but that's why I love it!

Sorry but that freaks me out- it reminds me of those creepy lotus seed images- The ones with the scary holes!

pandarific · 19/03/2016 18:13

Jealous of the Alice illustration BikeRunSki. I loved staring at the illustrations when I was small.

That's beautiful QueenofLouisiana - I love the colours.

I have a Bob barker oil on the chimney breast and a Neil Dawson oil on another wall. We bought them from a little gallery just after we got married, I like them because they remind me of who I am and who I have been at different times in my life. They're not high brow art but i never get bored of looking at them. Not sure about the eyes op, it's not my personal taste.

Goingtobeawesome · 19/03/2016 18:25

Urgh

pandarific · 19/03/2016 18:31
