AIBU - pants at night

So reading the bedding thread there seems to be the suggestion that some people don't wear pants at night. Shock This is seriously a pearl clutching moment for me.

So AIBU to ask - doesn't everybody wear pants at night, whether or not they sleep otherwise naked or wear PJ's? And wouldn't your sheets or PJ's need more frequent washing if you don't wear pants at night?

Except when I was breastfeeding or when I'm on my period, I prefer to sleep naked. I just hate the feeling of clothing in bed.

Sparklingbrook · 10/03/2016 20:21

I hate to say this but Matthew Wright's researchers are currently nicking threads on here to discuss, so we may be looking forward to seeing this very soon discussed by Lowri Turner and Jo Mangel. Wink

TooMuchFuckingPerspective · 10/03/2016 20:21

Love the feel of a cotton duvet brush against my bare arse at night. Lush.

VulcanWoman · 10/03/2016 20:22

You must have very light periods then.

m0therofdragons · 10/03/2016 20:24

Centre parcs mrsk? Isn't that a mn thing like eiffle tower? Or did you just have sex and it happened to be a centre parcs?

bbpp · 10/03/2016 20:29

Think I'm a bit weird. I wear leggings, huge thick hoodie and thick socks to bed. Knickers is a bit take or leave.

Pebbles16 · 10/03/2016 20:30

Thank you Rideme and Vulcan. I can sleep easy (and knickerless!) now I know

StarlingMurmuration · 10/03/2016 20:30

I sleep naked and change the bedding once a week. Even if it's cold and I wear a t shirt, or want to look pretty so wear a sexy nightie, I don't wear underwear. Too binding.

ridemesideways · 10/03/2016 20:30

Surprised at how many let their vag fly free. Don't you all wake up with crusty pubes?

Quietlifenotonyournelly · 10/03/2016 20:30

Are you my DD bbpp* ? Grin

StarlingMurmuration · 10/03/2016 20:32

I don't even wear pants when I'm having a period - they're very light, just a couple of days of pink discharge during the day and nothing really at night.

Sallystyle · 10/03/2016 20:32

Don't wear knickers in bed, totally naked.

I love it. My sheets aren't the more dirtier for it I'm sure.

StarlingMurmuration · 10/03/2016 20:32

Why would we have crusty pubes?!?

middlings · 10/03/2016 20:32

Unless you're scooching across the mattress like a dog with worms, I'm not sure how an unclothed undercarriage could make any difference to sheet cleanliness.

ShatnersBassoon wins post of the week. Right there.

(I don't think I've smiled today until now. Thanks for that)

MrsKoala · 10/03/2016 20:34

I think it's MN law that you have to do anal at centre parcs. But we are quite old fashioned forgot the lube and just did it normal. We got a bit carried away and are now expecting dc3. It must have been the lusty atmosphere of the pancake house Hmm

ridemesideways · 10/03/2016 20:35

Hmm. I'm obviously in a minority with my normal vaginal discharge levels Blush

Quietlifenotonyournelly · 10/03/2016 20:35

Confused @ crusty pubes because I have none

TheDuchessOfArbroathsHat · 10/03/2016 20:35

rideme My dear - if this is something that ails you I feel sure that a visit to your doctor will help clear things up. I think you'll find that in polite society 'crusty pubes' are a virtually unknown phenomenon [disgusted] [boaking]

Yseulte · 10/03/2016 20:37

I feel it's important to wear knickers in case some incubus tries to ravish me in the night.

ridemesideways · 10/03/2016 20:38

Well I have no pubes either, hence the pants at night. Am I in a parallel universe... Vaginal discharge IS a thing, right?! White, non-itchy, non-smelly, normal discharge.

Quietlifenotonyournelly · 10/03/2016 20:39

Yes normal but never known it to seep out and leave me with crusty bedding. Smile

roundaboutthetown · 10/03/2016 20:40

Crusty pubes?! Surely you pull off the crust before moving on round to the nightly anal scratching? Grin

VulcanWoman · 10/03/2016 20:40

Yeah, and what about insects exploring orifice.

VulcanWoman · 10/03/2016 20:40

I've enough worry with earwigs in ears and spiders in mouth.

ridemesideways · 10/03/2016 20:43

Hmm. Might do experiment and see what state of bed confronts me with in the morning!
