AIBU - pants at night

So reading the bedding thread there seems to be the suggestion that some people don't wear pants at night. Shock This is seriously a pearl clutching moment for me.

So AIBU to ask - doesn't everybody wear pants at night, whether or not they sleep otherwise naked or wear PJ's? And wouldn't your sheets or PJ's need more frequent washing if you don't wear pants at night?

Please pants wearers tell me if you wear clean ones every night. I've asked before. I want to know the answer!

janethegirl2 · 10/03/2016 20:01

No night time scratch-fest here Grin

PitilessYank · 10/03/2016 20:02

YoJesse-+1 on sometimes sleeping in what I wore that day...

ridemesideways · 10/03/2016 20:02

Pebbles

I keep on the same ones I've had on that day, unless I've had a shower before bed in which case I put a clean pair on. Also clean pair after sex.

Dowhatyoulove123 · 10/03/2016 20:04

Naked in my own bed but I usually wear PJs around the house.

Sleeping naked is key to a happy marriage I've been told ;)

YakTriangle · 10/03/2016 20:04

Pyjamas with nothing underneath. Worn for two nights then changed. No gushing involved thankfully.

VulcanWoman · 10/03/2016 20:04

Pebbles I wear the same pants at night that I've been wearing in the day, but I wear a pantliner in the day that is removed for the night.

TheCrumpettyTree · 10/03/2016 20:04

Pyjamas, no knickers unless I'm on my period.

ridemesideways · 10/03/2016 20:05

Although I'm a bed-pants person, I wasn't brought up that way. Used to wear PJs without kecks as a child. Didn't occur to me to keep pants on under pjs until an embarrassing drunken teen incident, then it was like a revelation!

TheCrumpettyTree · 10/03/2016 20:05

No I don't wear clean knickers at night. Why would I do that? I'm sleeping. Who cares?

ridemesideways · 10/03/2016 20:06

Oh - and no thrush.

Bombaybunty · 10/03/2016 20:07

Just a pyjama top for me. Put the trousers on when I get up. My back gets cold!
Can't bear a toasty fanny.

MrsKoala · 10/03/2016 20:08

Tangerino - no sex in the bed usually and none ever at night so no issue with pant logistics.

OliviaStabler · 10/03/2016 20:08

I'd never wear knickers night. Why would you? I shower before bed and change my pj's regularly.

Labradorlover01 · 10/03/2016 20:10

Knicker wearer.... not for any particular hygiene reason just feel
more comfy with them on.... I do take my bra off though, so not completely odd Grin

VulcanWoman · 10/03/2016 20:12

I've never had thrush either. Wash my nethers a couple of times a week.

ridemesideways · 10/03/2016 20:12

God I hated having a wear my breastfeeding bra to bed... I think DD was about 1yo before I stopped leaking everywhere / let-down on opposite side / stuffing breastpads.

this year? at Center Parcs Grin

Sallyhasleftthebuilding · 10/03/2016 20:14

I've had this debate with DD who sleeps in her bra - let it all hang free!

I can sleep with or without!

toohardtothinkofaname · 10/03/2016 20:14

If I don't have pants on I just feel like I need a wee & can't drift off

Pippin8 · 10/03/2016 20:17

I must be a complete heathen as I never wear knickers, even when I'm in my period.

TheDuchessOfArbroathsHat · 10/03/2016 20:17

Grin Brilliant thread! Good to know there are many among us who are happy to let the air weave it's way through and round! I never wear knickers in bed - unless the Duke has partaken too freely of the vintage Port in which case it's important not to send out the wrong message!

tealoveryum · 10/03/2016 20:19

I used to because I used to have really heavy discharge and needed to. Nowadays I wear PJs/Nightie with no knickers and sometimes sleep in the buff.

m0therofdragons · 10/03/2016 20:21

Only wear knickers when it's my period but I don't gush fluids or rub myself on the sheets so how would they be more dirty than if I wore knickers? Confused
